HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
Class 2A No. 1 Magazine vs. No. 19 West Fork
Defending Class 2A champion Magazine and West Fork battle at Hillbilly Stadium in Ozark during Simmons First/Hootens.com Kickoff Week.

Magazine began its state title run last fall with a three-point win at West Fork. For the Rattlers, it starts with senior twins Ryan and Cory Chambers. Ryan earned all-state honors at quarterback in 2010 after generating 2,675 yards and 31 touchdowns. Cory led Magazine with 30 catches for 713 yards and seven TDs. The duo combined for 98 tackles and 13 interceptions as cornerbacks. Senior and two-time all-league tackle Skyler McElroy (6-5, 285) returns for his third year up front. Seven starters are back from a defensive unit that allowed 13 points per game and forced 54 turnovers, led by senior all-state linebacker Josh Dority (159 tackles and seven sacks).

West Fork has won 41 games over the past five years (best in school history), including a 27-9 record under fourth-year coach Rodney Selph. The Tigers went 11-3 last year, sweeping the 1-3A and reaching the playoff semifinals where they lost by three points to eventual state champion Rivercrest. West Fork returns six starters from that squad, including senior QB Dylan Harrison who passed for 1,092 yards and 16 TDs. All-state senior running back/linebacker Wil Jarnagan rushed for more than 1,500 yards and 18 TDs and recorded more than 80 tackles. Senior guard/end Chris Worley (16.5 sacks) returns as West Fork's most experienced lineman.
