HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 12 Prescott at No. 8 Rison

When has the road to the 7-3A title not gone through Rison? Only four starters returned on defense for Prescott, which allows a league-best 10 ppg (it allowed 16 ppg in 2008). Senior LB Daylon Biggs paces the league in tackles, while senior LB Jonathan Burks paces Class 3A in sacks. Prescott also excels on special teams with junior return-man Ke'Andrae Ballance and senior kicker Juan Duran. Ballance averages 32 yards per punt return (third in Class 3A), while Duran is 35-38 in PATs and has scored a Class 3A-best 41 points. Rison averages 36 ppg to lead the 7-3A. Sophomore RB Raphael "Rock" Caldwell carried the ball 27 times for 257 yards and two TDs in last week's 19-16 loss at Parkers Chapel, and he has rushed for more than 1,400 yards this season. If Prescott wins, it will earn an outright 7-3A title and a first-round bye in the playoffs, while Rison will likely be in a three-way tie for second place. If Rison wins, it will be the No. 1 seed, while Prescott will finish in second place and likely play host to the loser of the Earle-Cave City game in the first round of the playoffs.

HOOTENS TV SHOW

WEEK 10 PREDICTIONS (favored team in CAPS followed by point spread)
1-3A

Cedarville at MANSFIELD (14): Cedarville senior QB Kyle Bailey ran for two TDs, and senior RB Blake Morton ran 32 yards for a TD in last week's 35-14 win at Greenland. Cedarville needs Lincoln to beat Mountainburg for it to clinch the No. 4 seed. Mansfield junior RBs Garrett Sutton and Seth Feimster ran for a combined 273 yards and three TDs in last week's 35-0 win at Lincoln. Mansfield, the No. 2 seed from the 1-3A, will likely play Magnet Cove in the first round of the playoffs.
CHARLESTON (17) at Lavaca: Charleston junior FB Ryan McDonald has rushed for 1,020 yards and 14 TDs this year. Charleston allows 10 points and 175 total yards per game. The Tigers beat Elkins 42-7 last week. Lavaca senior RB Travis Michael ran for two TDs and caught a 50-yard TD pass in last week's 21-0 win over Mountainburg. The Golden Arrows could force a three-way tie for first place if it pulls off the upset, but will likely be the No. 3 seed and play host to winner of the Mayflower-Episcopal game.
Greenland at ELKINS (12): Greenland senior RB Adrian Rojas ran 60 and 3 yards for TDs in last week's 35-14 loss to Cedarville. Elkins senior WR Blake Bailey caught three passes for 29 yards and a TD in last week's 42-7 loss to Charleston.
Lincoln at MOUNTAINBURG (14): Lincoln lost 35-0 to Mansfield last week. The Wolves average 9.1 ppg and allow 27 ppg.
If Mountianburg and Elkins win Friday, Elkins would secure the No. 4 seed.  Cedarville needs a Mountainburg loss to get the No. 4 spot since Cedarville defeated Elkins 35-14 Week 8.

2-3A
BARTON (14) at Brinkley: Barton lost 22-20 at Riverview last week; it failed to convert a two-point conversion with 43 seconds left that would have likely forced overtime. Barton holds on to its No. 2 playoff seed and will likely play host to the loser of the Yellville-Summit-Green Forest game in the first round. Brinkley senior RB Elvyonn Bailey ran for 156 yards on 16 carries in last week's 47-20 loss at Harding Academy.
RIVERVIEW (17) at England: Riverview senior QB Grafton Harrell threw 29 and 15 yards for TDs and ran 6 yards for another score in last week's 22-20 win over Barton. England allows 45 ppg; it lost 67-50 last week at Mayflower.
MAYFLOWER (3) at Episcopal: Mayflower senior QB Jordan Dycus threw four TDs and ran for two TDs in last week's 67-50 win over England. Episcopal junior RB Jarred Anderson ran for three TDs in last week's 31-8 win at Rose Bud. The winner of this game will claim the No. 3 seed and likely travel to Lavaca, while the loser will earn fourth place and play the winner of the Bauxite-Glen Rose game in the first round of the playoffs.
HARDING ACADEMY (35) at Rose Bud: Harding Academy senior WR Tyler Gentry caught three passes for 90 yards in last week's 47-20 win over Brinkley and leads the Wildcats with 35 receptions for 604 yards and six TDs. The Wildcats average 38 ppg and allow 15 ppg. Rose Bud allows 39 ppg; it lost 31-8 to Episcopal last week.

3-3A
EARLE (6) at Cave City: Earle senior RBs Mike Wilson and Mike Bowles ran for a combined 312 yards and four TDs in last week's 28-26 loss to Harrisburg. Wilson and Bowles have rushed for 1,260 and 1,157 yards, respectively, and 15 TDs a piece this season. The Bulldogs could finish in third place with a win and likely play the loser of the Lamar-Paris game. Cave City senior QB Dalton Carpenter threw a 21-yard TD pass to senior RB Thamail Morgan and ran three yards for another score in last week's 14-7 win at Hoxie. Caveman senior RB Tyler Engleman did not play and is out for the rest of the season after injuring his ACL at Harrisburg Week 8. If Cave City wins it could force a three-way tie for first place. The loser of this game will finish fourth and could play Prescott in the first round of the playoffs if it loses to Rison.
Corning at PIGGOTT (28): Corning averages a league-worst three ppg; it lost 35-0 to Rivercrest last week. Piggott junior RBs Alex Samples and Luke Yount ran for a combined 240 yards and five TDs in last week's 40-35 win at Manila.
HARRISBURG (14) at Hoxie: Harrisburg senior WR and State Farm Award watch list player Jake Streeter caught eight passes for 83 yards in last week's 28-26 win at Earle and leads Class 3A in receiving with 37 catches for 867 yards and 10 TDs. If the Hornets finish in second place, they will play host to Jessieville in the first round of the playoffs. Hoxie senior FB Dillon Williamson ran for 65 yards on 16 carries, and sophomore RB Sebastian Irvin ran 16 yards for a TD in last week's 14-7 loss to Cave City.
RIVERCREST (35) at Manila: Rivercrest junior RB/DB Terrance Banks ran for 76 yards and three TDs, caught a 26-yard TD pass and returned an interception 37 yards to set up a score in last week's 35-0 win at Corning. The Colts need Cave City to lose in order to secure the No. 1 seed from the 3-3A. Manila averages 19 ppg and allows 38 ppg; it lost 40-35 to Piggott last week.

4-3A
PERRYVILLE (30) at Atkins: Perryville senior RB/LB Tyler McAnally ran 57 yards and returned an interception 37 yards for TDs in last week's 34-14 win over Paris. Perryville will clinch an outright league title and No. 1 seed this week at Atkins. The Mustang defense held Paris, which had averaged 38 ppg, to 14 points. Atkins sophomore RB Trey Bennett ran 85 yards for a TD in last week's 40-6 loss at Lamar.
Yellville-Summit at GREEN FOREST (3): Yellville-Summit senior QB Timothy Hoyt ran 11 and 37 yards for TDs and also threw a 64-yard TD pass in last week's 28-0 win over Mountain View. Green Forest senior QB Josiah Goodman threw a 30-yard TD to senior TE Gary Smith and also ran for a TD in last week's 28-13 win at Marshall. The winner of this game will likely travel to Camden Harmony Grove, while the loser will play at Barton in the first round of the playoffs.
Lamar at PARIS (1): Lamar senior RBs Zach Ward and Casey Kinsey both scored two TDs in last week's 40-6 win over Atkins. Paris sophomore RB Mason Koenigseder ran for two TDs in last week's 34-14 loss at Perryville. To the victor goes second place and a likely showdown with upstart Parkers Chapel in the first round of the playoffs. The loser finishes in third place and could play host to Earle, if it beats Cave City, in the first round of the playoffs.
Marshall at MOUNTAIN VIEW (6): Marshall junior RB Mason Milsap and Mountain View senior RB Chris Avery showcase their speed in the season finale. Marshall has scored 20 more points in league play than Mountain View, but the Yellowjackets have allowed fewer points (215) than the Bobcats (269).

5-3A
MAGNET COVE (21) at Arkansas Baptist: Magnet Cove has clinched the No. 4 seed and will likely travel to Mansfield in the first round of the playoffs. The Panthers lost 28-14 to Glen Rose last week. Arkansas Baptist, fourth in the preseason coaches' poll, finishes sixth in the league after losing of senior QB Logan Quinn (broken collarbone). The Eagles lost 49-15 at Bauxite last week.
Bauxite at GLEN ROSE (3): Bauxite senior RBs Blake Childress and Steven Brooks ran for a combined 319 yards and three TDs on 23 carries in last week's 49-15 win over Arkansas Baptist. Glen Rose junior RB Steven Kehner ran for 154 yards and a TD on 30 carries in last week's 28-14 win at Magnet Cove. Kehner has rushed for 1,471 yards (8.9 yards per carry) and 13 TDs for the season. The winner of this game will earn the No. 2 seed and likely play host to Episcopal or Mayflower, while the loser finishes in third place and will probably play Mountainburg in the first round of the playoffs.
Centerpoint at BISMARCK (7): Neither team has won a conference game. Centerpoint has allowed fewer points (235) in league play than Bismarck (270). Both teams average less than 17 ppg. Centerpoint lost 49-0 to Jessieville last week. Bismarck lost 55-7 at Fountain Lake a week ago.
FOUNTAIN LAKE (28) at Jessieville: Fountain Lake junior RB Mark Makin has rushed for 1,398 yards and 22 TDs. The Cobras have earned the No. 1 seed and won all of their conference games by an average of 37 points. 7-3A
Drew Central at CAMDEN HARMONY GROVE (21): Drew Central averages 15 ppg and allows 27 ppg; it won 35-0 at Fouke last week. Harmony Grove junior FB Jacob Wright ran 10 yards for a TD in last week's 19-7 loss at Prescott. The Hornets will likely host the winner of the Yellville-Summit vs. Green Forest game in the first round of the playoffs.
LAFAYETTE COUNTY (35) at Fouke: Lafayette County finishes the season in fifth place, right where league coaches expected it to. The Cougars beat Gurdon 20-8 last week. Fouke has scored one TD this season and allows 37 ppg; it lost 35-0 to Drew Central a week ago.
