WEEK 12 PLAYOFF PREDICTIONS (favored team in CAPS followed by point spread)
PERRYVILLE has a bye.
Magnet Cove at MANSFIELD (14): Magnet Cove has won three of its last four games and averages 32 ppg. The Panthers lost by just four points to No. 14 Bauxite Week 4. Mansfield enters the playoffs having won six straight games where it allowed just 6 ppg, including three shutouts.
RIVERCREST has a bye.
Episcopal at BAUXITE (7): Episcopal won four of its last five games to earn its second playoff berth in school history. Bauxite has won five games in a row after it lost to No. 2 Fountain Lake 37-7 Week 5; its other loss was to Class 4A No. 4 Bald Knob 26-13 Week 1.

PRESCOTT has a bye.
Mayflower at LAVACA (3): Mayflower makes its fifth consecutive playoff appearance after it finished third in the 3-3A. Mayflower junior RB Demetris Lasker has rushed for 1,289 yards and 18 TDs this season. Lavaca averages 17 ppg and allows 18 ppg. The Golden Arrows have not missed the postseason since 2003.
Cedarville at GLEN ROSE (6): Cedarville won its three league games by an average of 19 points and lost to No. 10 Mansfield and No. 15 Lavaca by a combined 11 points. Glen Rose missed a PAT that would have tied the game late in the fourth quarter in last week's 28-27 loss to Bauxite. The Beavers average 29 points and allow 28 points per game.
Green Forest at BARTON (7): Green Forest hopes it will not repeat last year's postseason performance, losing in the first round 27-7 to Magnet Cove. Barton has won three of its last four games; it lost 22-20 at Riverview Week 9.

FOUNTAIN LAKE has a bye.
Parkers Chapel at LAMAR (6): Parkers Chapel's first playoff appearance in school history comes on the heels of its upset win over Rison 19-16 Week 9. Parkers Chapel allows 13 ppg. Lamar does not have to forfeit its conference wins and is the No. 2 seed from the 4-3A. Lamar's only loss came at Perryville 27-7 Week 8. The Warriors average 34 points and allow 14 points per game.
CHARLESTON has a bye.
Earle at RISON (1): See 3A Game of the Week.

HARDING ACADEMY has a bye.
CAVE CITY (10) at Paris: Cave City's only loss came at No. 5 Harrisburg 26-7 Week 8 when it lost senior RB Tyler Engleman (ACL) for the remainder of the season. The Caveman defense dismantled Earle's offense (it averaged 43 ppg) in last week's 28-8 win where senior LB Thamail Morgan returned an interception 43 yards and a fumble recovery 70 yards for TDs. Paris' first postseason berth in four years is overshadowed by what could have been; it lost to No. 8 Perryville Week 9 and No. 11 Lamar Week 10 by a combined 51 points.
Yellville-Summit at CAMDEN HARMONY GROVE (6): Yellville-Summit ended a tragic start to its season by reeling off four straight wins to earn the No. 4 seed from the 4-3A. Harmony Grove has won five of its last six games, including a 26-7 win against No. 18 Parkers Chapel Week 8. The Hornet defense held No. 6 Prescott (34 ppg) and No. 9 Rison (37 ppg) to 19 and 21 points, respectively.
Jessieville at HARRISBURG (21): Jessieville has lost three of its last four games; its last postseason victory was a 36-13 win against Hampton in the first round of the 2007 playoffs. Harrisburg has won its last six games by an average of 26 points; its only loss was to Rivercrest 44-28 Week 4. Harrisburg junior QB Zach Davis has completed 155 passes for 2,676 yards and 23 TDs, while senior WR Jake Streeter leads the team with 45 catches for 911 yards and 12 TDs.
