No. 13 Arkansas Baptist at No. 4 Harding Academy

 
Harding Academy QB Seth Keese might have pressed a little in a Week 1 victory at Pocahontas, but the junior completed 17 of 28 passes for 239 yards and rushed for three TDs in last week's 42-21 win at Jessieville. A year ago, Arkansas Baptist senior QB Logan Quinn passed for 304 yards and two TDs in a 36-20 loss to Harding Academy.

Cedarville at POTTSVILLE (14): Cedarville beat Class 4A member Pottsville 10-7 a year ago. Class 3A Paris held Cedarville's Diamond T to 83 rushing yards last week.
Clarksville at CHARLESTON (7): Top-ranked Charleston's special teams and defense accounted for half of its points in last week's 36-21 win against Gentry. Charleston averages 365 yards and 35.5 ppg; its defense allows 212 yards and 17.5 ppg.
Elkins at HUNTSVILLE (10): Elkins junior receiver Blake Stills averaged 12 yards per catch in last year's 21-14 win against Huntsville. Class 4A Huntsville dropped a 49-42 heartbreaker to 4A No. 16 Clarksville last week.
Pea Ridge at GREENLAND (3): Greenland held three opponents to six points last year, including its 29-point win at Pea Ridge. Greenland QB Jordan Larkan passed for two TDs and ran for another last week in a 48-0 blowout of Class 2A No. 43 Western Yell County.
Mount Ida at LAVACA (12): Lavaca has been shut out in two of its past three games, giving up 477 rushing yards last week to Class 4A No. 4 Booneville.
MAGAZINE (17) at Lincoln: Lincoln has allowed a total of 23 points in its first two games this year; it allowed 42 points per game in 2008. Class 2A Magazine jumps from preseason No. 19 to No. 15 with impressive wins over Subiaco Academy (4A) and Palestine Wheatley.
MANSFIELD (30) at Hartford: Mansfield junior RB Garrett Sutton averaged over 16 yards per carry and scored four TDs in last week's 41-7 win over Hackett. Mansfield's one-point win over Waldron looks a little better after Waldron topped Mountainburg 20-14 last week.
PARIS (3) at Mountainburg: Mountainburg lost by six points at 4A Waldron last week. Paris beat Cedarville 20-0, holding the Pirates to 83 yards rushing.

2-3A
Marvell at BARTON (28): Barton needs this win before conference play.
Palestine-Wheatley at BRINKLEY (10): Brinkley thankful to be playing at home after losing its past three road games.
England at RISON (20): England has lost its last three games to Rison by a combined 98-23. Rison beat 4A Fordyce Week 1 but fell at 4A Star City 35-20 last week.
Horatio at EPISCOPAL (3): Episcopal's 43-27 loss last week against Arkansas Baptist was closer than the final score. Episcopal trailed by only eight points early in the fourth quarter.
Arkansas Baptist at HARDING ACADEMY (6): Harding Academy QB Seth Keese might have pressed a little in a Week 1 victory at Pocahontas, but the junior completed 17 of 28 passes for 239 yards and rushed for three TDs in last week's 42-21 win at Jessieville. A year ago, Arkansas Baptist senior QB Logan Quinn passed for 304 yards and two TDs against Harding Academy.
Mayflower at GLEN ROSE (8): Mayflower beat the Beavers twice in 2008: 25-13 in Week 3 and 15-14 in the second round of the playoffs. Glen Rose junior RB Steven Kehner rushed 24 times for 288 yards in last week's back-and-forth 35-22 loss at Class 5A Hot Springs.
HARRISBURG (7) at Riverview: This is Riverview's chance to establish itself as one of Class 3A's elite. Harrisburg junior QB Zach Davis completed 20 of 29 passes for 302 yards and four TDs in last week's 44-0 win at Hughes.
DES ARC (24) at Rose Bud: Rose Bud has lost its past five home games. Class 2A No. 9 Des Arc plays host to No. 4 Hazen in a huge 6-2A matchup next week.

3-3A
Yellville-Summit at CAVE CITY (3): This game may not happen after Yellville's Kymball Duffey died in a car wreck and four more Panthers were injured last Friday afternoon. No. 19 Cave City tries to start 3-0 after losing six of its last seven games in 2008. Cave City whipped Yellville-Summit by 22 points a year ago.
Corning at GOSNELL (28): Corning, battling low numbers and injuries, has lost its first two games by a combined 76-8.
Hughes at EARLE (35): No. 8 Earle gets another opportunity to fine-tune its offense this week. It beat Hughes 70-6 last year.
HARRISBURG (7) at Riverview: Harrisburg junior QB Zach Davis completed 20 of 29 passes for 302 yards and four TDs in last week's 44-0 win at Hughes. This is Riverview's chance to establish itself as one of class 3A's elite.
Highland at HOXIE (7): Hoxie senior QB Jeremy Anglin averaged 22 yards per completion and threw for three TDs in last week's 40-0 win against Mountain View.
MCCRORY (30) at Manila: Manila junior receiver Brian Borden returned a kickoff 67 yards for a TD in last week's 47-12 loss at Jonesboro Westside.
Clarendon at PIGGOTT (3): Piggott has its hands full this weeek trying to avoid an 0-3 start. Unbeaten 6-2A member Clarendon has upset Brinkley and Barton so far.
OSCEOLA (1) at Rivercrest: Rivercrest junior RB Earl Byrd averaged 7 yards per carry and returned a fumble 87 yards for a TD last week to give the Colts an impressive 27-20 win at Gosnell.

4-3A
Atkins at DARDANELLE (2): Atkins has scored 22 points in its first two games (losses); it averaged 33 points per game in 2008.
Green Forest at BERRYVILLE (4): The Carroll County throwdown features towns separated by nine miles. Green Forest lost its two regular-season games by a combined five points last year; one came against Berryville 17-15.
Dover at LAMAR (3): Lamar senior RB/S Casey Kinsey rushed for 102 yards and one TD, returned a fumble for a TD, and forced a fumble in last year's 37-8 win at Dover. Unbeaten Dover is ranked No. 34 in Class 4A.
Marshall at FARMINGTON (14): Marshall faces another 1-4A member this week; it lost to the Cardinals by seven a year ago.
CLINTON (28) at Mountain View: Mountain View opened with a win at Southside Batesville but fell back to earth last week after a 40-0 loss at Hoxie.
PARIS (3) Mountainburg: Paris beat Cedarville 20-0 last week, holding the Diamond T Pirates to 83 yards rushing. Mountainburg lost by six points at 4A Waldron last week.
Perryville at CARLISLE (2): Former Carlisle coach James Clayton returns to the Bison program he built. Perryville played Carlisle to a 13-13 stalemate last year.
Yellville-Summit at CAVE CITY (3): Yellville-Summit lost to Cave City by 22 points a year ago. Cave City looks to start 3-0 after losing six of its last seven games in 2008.

5-3A
Arkansas Baptist at HARDING ACADEMY (6): Harding Academy QB Seth Keese might have pressed a little in a Week 1 victory at Pocahontas, but the junior completed 17 of 28 passes for 239 yards and rushed for three TDs in last week's 42-21 win at Jessieville. A year ago, Arkansas Baptist senior QB Logan Quinn passed for 304 yards and two TDs against Harding Academy.
Spring Hill at BAUXITE (6): Bauxite sophomore QB Tim Dunlap accounted for six TDs in last week's 58-16 win at 7-2A Lafayette County. Spring Hill beat Lafayette County 45-23 Week 1. Four running backs share the load for Spring Hill. The Bears ran for 346 yards last week at Fouke and 220 yards against Lafayette County.
BISMARCK (3) at Centerpoint: Bismarck's only win against Centerpoint came in Week 7, 2006. Centerpoint could find it hard to get out of the 5-3A cellar if it loses this week.
FOUNTAIN LAKE (14) at Hot Springs Lakeside: No. 2 Fountain Lake found its offensive footing in last week's 50-13 win over Mena.

MAGNET COVE (14) at Murfreesboro: Magnet Cove scored 41 points in the first half in last week's 48-0 win at Cutter Morning Star. Class 2A No. 13 Murfreesboro QB Tyler McRae completed 10 of 19 pass attempts to four receivers for 176 yards and two TDs last week in a 35-0 win over Centerpoint. Five running backs, led by Brannon Buck (85 yards), combined for 246 yards.

7-3A
HAMBURG (25) at Drew Central: Drew Central humbled in last week's 44-7 loss at McGehee.
FOUKE (4) at Foreman: Fouke hopes to not only score points this week, but return home with a win.
JESSIEVILLE (12) at Gurdon: Jessieville beat the Go-Devils 41-0 a year ago.
C. Harmony Grove at STAR CITY (8): Camden Harmony Grove has lost four of its last five games. Star City beat Rison 35-20 last week behind senior QB Sage Gassaway's 210 passing yards. Star City amassed 415 total yards with Hosia Rochelle running for 78 yards and catching two passes for 60 yards. Junior Ty Towers caught seven passes for 133 yards, and classmate Demetri Goins ran for 80 yards and a TD.
Lafayette County at MINERAL SPRINGS (1): Lafayette County has lost both its games this year by an average of 30 points.
Smackover at PARKERS CHAPEL (6): Parkers Chapel could make history this week by starting 3-0.
PRESCOTT (4) at Hope: This is an emotional game for Prescott, and the Curley Wolves usually fire their best shot at the Bobcats. Prescott trailed by only 10 points in the second half last week before Nashville's depth carried it to a 34-10 win.
England at RISON (20): England has lost its last three games to Rison by a combined 98-23. Rison beat Class 4A Fordyce Week 1 but fell at Class 4A Star City 35-20 last week.
