No. 6 Cave City at No. 8 Harrisburg
Coach Jon Bradley's Cavemen are undefeated thanks to an improved defense and an MVP performance last week by senior QB Dalton Carpenter in a 19-14 win over Rivercrest. Carpenter connected with senior RB Tyler Engleman for a 19-yard TD with 26 seconds left and then intercepted a pass on Rivercrest's final possession to preserve the victory for Cave City. The Cavemen allow 63 yards passing per game and a Class 3A best 6 ppg, led by senior linebacker Thamail Morgan (100 tackles). Harrisburg has quietly improved to 3-1 in league play and controls its destiny. Harrisburg junior QB Zach Davis completed 28 of 52 passes for 369 yards and two TDs with two intercpetions in a 44-28 loss to Rivercrest Week 4. The offensive line struggled to protect Davis at times and faces a challenge this week. Harrisburg junior RB Zach Pretty averages 93 rushing yards per game and has scored 13 TDs. The Hornets won 38-21 at Cave City in 2008.

ELKINS (14) at Cedarville: Elkins, coming off a 13-8 win against Mountainburg last week, avoids a third consecutive loss in this series. It last beat Cedarville 20-8 Week 9, 2006. Cedarville allows 21 ppg, seven more points per game than last year.
Lincoln at CHARLESTON (35): Charleston junior FB Ryan McDonald, who averaged 14.4 yards per carry, ran 37 yards for a TD and caught a 47-yard TD pass in last week's 34-0 win at Greenland. Charleston beat Lincoln 47-14 a year ago.
LAVACA (21) at Greenland: Lavaca has allowed 15 more points than it has scored this season. It lost 35-20 at Mansfield last week. Greenland senior RB Adrian Rojas carried the ball 34 times for 103 yards and caught two passes for 48 yards in last week's 34-0 loss against Charleston.
MANSFIELD (24) at Mountainburg: Mansfield grabbed a solid hold of the No. 2 spot in the 1-3A with its 35-20 win last week over Lavaca. In 2008, Mountainburg lost at Mansfield 27-14.

Mayflower at BARTON (6): Mayflower lost 42-6 last week to Harding Academy. Barton senior FB Pat Anderson ran 51 and 30 yards for TDs in last week's 49-8 win against Rose Bud. Mayflower senior QB Jordan Dycus threw five TDs in last year's 52-7 win over Barton.
Brinkley at EPISCOPAL (1): Brinkley senior RB Elvyonn Bailey ran for three TDs and averaged 11.5 yards per carry, while sophomore LB Ethan Roberts made 19 tackles in last week's 32-8 win against England. Episcopal looks for its third straight league victory after last week's 41-38 win at Riverview.
Rose Bud at ENGLAND (3): England wins its first game under new coach Brandon Barbaree after losing at Brinkley 32-8 last week. Rose Bud lost to England 64-55 in 2008; it lost 49-8 last week at Barton.
Riverview at HARDING ACADEMY (21): Riverview's hopes of improving on last year's five-win season are fading; it lost 41-38 last week to Episcopal. Harding Academy junior QB/DB Seth Keese completed 14 of 18 passes for 159 yards and a TD, ran for 60 yards and two TDs and returned an interception 55 yards for a TD in last week's 42-6 win at Mayflower.

MANILA (10) at Corning: Manila lost 41-0 against Corning in 2008; it lost 55-12 against Earle last week. Corning gave up 273 yards passing in last week's 38-6 loss at Harrisburg.
Hoxie at EARLE (12): Hoxie sophomore QB Sebastian Irvin ran the ball 24 times for 146 yards and two TDs in last week's 22-7 win at Piggott. Earle boasts the top scoring offense in the state (47.7 ppg). Earle senior RBs Michael Wilson and Michael Bowles rushed for a combined 323 yards and two TDs on 19 carries (17 yards per carry) in last week's 55-12 win at Manila.
Piggott at RIVERCREST (30): Piggott junior RB Alex Samples ran for 95 yards and a TD in last week's 22-7 loss against Hoxie. Rivercrest junior RB Earl Byrd leads the team in rushing with 392 yards on 58 carries (6.8 yards per carry). The Colts lost 19-14 at Cave City last week.
4-3A
Atkins at PARIS (35): Atkins lost 14-6 against Yellville-Summit last week; it has found the end zone just once in its past two games. Paris has won all four of its conference games by a combined score of 202-19, whipping Marshall 56-6 last week.
Mountain View at GREEN FOREST (30): Mountain View lost 42-7 to Green Forest last year; it lost 47-7 against Perryville last week. Green Forest turned the ball over four times, including an interception that was returned for a TD, in last week's 30-14 loss at Lamar.
LAMAR (3) at Perryville: Lamar pounded its way for 373 yards rushing in last week's 30-14 win against Green Forest; senior QB Matt Jones led the Warriors with 95 yards on eight carries. Perryville senior RBs Tyler McAnally and Royce McClain ran for a combined 218 yards and four TDs in last week's 47-7 win at Mountain View.
Marshall at YELLVILLE-SUMMIT (14): Marshall lost to Yellville-Summit 31-20 last year; it lost to Paris 56-6 last week. Yellville-Summit senior QB Timothy Hoyt ran for two TDs and kicked two PATs in last week's 14-6 win at Atkins.

FOUNTAIN LAKE (35) at Arkansas Baptist: Fountain Lake junior QB/DB David Gray averaged 20.6 yards per carry and intercepted three passes in last week's 42-7 win at Glen Rose. Arkansas Baptist junior QB Jon Moon threw two TDs and ran 30 yards for the game-winning TD in last week's 20-14 win at Centerpoint.
BAUXITE (28) at Bismarck: Bauxite senior RB Blake Childress ran for three TDs and averaged 9.5 yards per carry while senior RB Blake Wood ran for 75 yards and two TDs in last week's 34-13 win at Jessieville. Bismarck lost 40-0 at Magnet Cove last week, marking its fourth straight loss since starting the season 3-0.
Centerpoint at GLEN ROSE (30): Centerpoint lost 49-18 against Glen Rose in 2008; it lost 20-14 against Arkansas Baptist last week. Glen Rose senior QB Ethan Holicer threw for 88 yards and a TD and four INTs in last week's 42-7 loss against Fountain Lake.
MAGNET COVE (3) at Jessieville: Magnet Cove won 40-0 against Bismarck last week, its first shutout since last year's 19-0 win against Jessieville. Jessieville junior QB Kyle Echard ran 20 and 14 yards for TDs in last week's 34-13 loss to Bauxite.

Parkers Chapel at CAMDEN HARMONY GROVE (1): Parkers Chapel managed 83 yards rushing in last week's 22-0 loss to Prescott, while the Hornets won 42-34 at Lafayette County. Harmony Grove senior RB Ryan Evans (4.6 speed) ran 52 yards for a TD and caught a 30-yard TD in last year's 48-6 win at Parkers Chapel.
Drew Central at PRESCOTT (40): Drew Central won 20-6 against Gurdon last week while Prescott sophomore QB Ke'Andrae Ballance ran 50 and 22 yards for TDs in a 22-0 win at Parkers Chapel. Prescott beat Drew Central 54-18 a year ago.
Fouke at GURDON (1): Fouke scored its first points of the year and led Rison 7-0 early last week in a 49-7 loss. Gurdon lost 20-6 at Drew Central last week. Fouke won this matchup 21-20 in 2008.
Lafayette County at RISON (35): Lafayette County allows 36 ppg; it lost 42-34 against Harmony Grove last week. Rison sophomore RB Raphael "Rock" Caldwell ran the ball 14 times for 149 yards and three TDs in last week's 49-7 win at Fouke.
