HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 9 Russellville at No. 5 Bryant

Russellville won its homecoming last year, stunning Bryant with two TDs in the final 1:45 for 14-13 win. Last week Morrilton transfer Andrew Tryon made Russellville proud against LR Central, blocking both a kick and punt, intercepting a pass in the endzone and returning a fumble 78 yards for a TD. Russellville QB Barrett Hughes left last week's game in the first quarter with a shoulder stinger. Bryant is 5-0 for the first time since it started 11-0 in 1999. The Hornets scored 31 points in the first quarter last week at Van Buren. Bryant's Chris Rycraw averages 147 yards rushing weekly despite playing less than three quarters in four blowout wins.

TV SHOW
Hooten's Arkansas Football airs statewide 11 a.m. Saturdays on CBS (Today's THV 11 and KFSM TV 5). Games scheduled to be featured this week include Rogers Heritage at Bentonville, Cabot at North LR, Conway at LR Central, LR Catholic at Van Buren and Russellville at Bryant. WEEK 6 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
7A CENTRAL

Cabot at NORTH LR (6): North LR's big, fast defense against Cabot's executing T attack is intriguing matchup. North LR led Conway's homecoming 35-0 at halftime last Friday. A week earlier at Cabot, the Panthers sweated out a 38-21 win over Conway.
CONWAY (7) at LR Central: Conway needs this win and another to make playoffs. LR Central's offense hasn't scored a TD in four of its five games.
LR CATHOLIC (14) at Van Buren: Catholic has lost last two but is perfect this season against teams from the Van Buren area. Last year Van Buren led at LR Catholic 21-14 in the third quarter before losing 47-21.
Russellville at BRYANT (1): Game of the Week. Hornets avenge last season's 14-13 gut-wrenching loss.

7A WEST
Rogers Heritage at BENTONVILLE (14): Second-year program Heritage, not defending state champion Bentonville, has a perfect record. But Bentonville is superior in the trenches and motivated by last week's 31-21 loss at FS Southside.
FS SOUTHSIDE (4) at Springdale: Southside won this matchup last year in a wild 55-52 shootout, the most points ever scored in a 7A West game. Last week Southside's physical defense lived up to preseason hype by holding Bentonville, which was averaging 48 points, to 21. Speedy running back David Adair (more than 100 yards past three games) and bullish Lee Hollis (3 TDs last week) helped Rebels beat Bentonville for the first time in five tries. Springdale's bad week culminated Saturday afternoon when Fayetteville completed a 2-point pass in the final seconds for a 50-49 win.
Fayetteville at FS NORTHSIDE (2): Northside has lost three straight after beating two teams with a combined 3-6-1 record to start the season. Northside hopes for the return this week of QB Tanner Knight (bruised back, 1,442 yards passing in first four games). Fayetteville, which has beaten two teams with a combined 2-8 record, prefers playing Northside in Fort Smith. Northside won its fourth straight at Fayetteville 42-35 last year.
SPRINGDALE HAR-BER (14) at Rogers: Hooten's preseason No. 1 Har-Ber is 5-0 for the first time but had to punt five times in the first half last week against FS Northside. Rogers likely one of the two teams from 7A West that won't make the playoffs.
