No. 8 Lamar at No. 2 Fountain Lake
Lamar improved to 4-3 overall in postseason play after its 35-0 win over Parkers Chapel last week where its defense allowed 63 total yards and three first downs. The Warriors allow 13 ppg. On offense, Lamar boasts a deep and efficient rushing attack led by senior RBs Casey Kinsey (7 yards per carry) and Zach Ward (8 yards per carry), who average more than 140 yards per game combined. Junior RBs Daniel Shaw and Collin Looper, senior QB Matt Jones and senior RB Travis Hall rush for nearly 100 yards per game combined. Lamar's only loss came at Perryville 27-7 Week 8. Fountain Lake won all seven of its league games by an average of 37 points and crowned itself the 5-3A champions for the second consecutive year. Junior QB David Gray, who completes 58% of his passes, and junior RB Mark Makin (1,466 yards and 23 TDs) lead the Cobra offense. Fountain Lake's only loss came against Junction City (39 ppg) 13-6 Week 1. Perryville, winner of the 4-3A, looks to be a state-title contender after the No. 2 and 3 seeds from the league both won decisively in the first round of the playoffs last week. This game's winner will face Rivercrest or Bauxite next week.
No. 14 Bauxite at No. 4 RIVERCREST (12): Bauxite senior RB Blake Wood scored six TDs in last week's 56-21 win over Episcopal Collegiate. The Miners average 35 ppg. Rivercrest junior QBs Demoine Brown and Blake Coffman have completed 33 and 24 passes, respectively, for a combined 955 yards and 10 TDs this season. Junior RB Earl Byrd paces the Colts with 543 rushing yards (7.2 yards per carry), while junior WR Terrance Banks leads the team with 14 catches for 271 yards and two TDs this year. Senior LB Jasper Jackson (97 tackles) and junior LB Trevor Gregory (91 tackles) lead coach Kelly Chandler's 5-2 defense. The winner of this game advances to the quarterfinals and plays Perryville or Mansfield.
No. 15 Lavaca at No. 6 PRESCOTT (14): Lavaca beat Mayflower 43-37 last week on the final possession of the game by scoring with 2.2 seconds left. The Golden Arrows will need all the possessions they can get to outscore their opponent this week. Prescott averages 34 ppg. Prescott senior QB C.J. Smith completes 56 percent of his passes and has accounted for 948 yards of offense and 15 TDs this season. Prescott senior RB James Colbert leads the team with 571 yards rushing (9.5 yards per carry) and nine TDs, while junior WR/DB Ke'Andrae Ballance has 31 catches for 544 yards and five TDs, plus five more non-offensive TDs. No. 16 GLEN ROSE (3) at No. 18 Barton: Glen Rose junior RB Steven Kehner averaged 10.8 yards per carry, while senior QB Ethan Holicer completed 10 passes for 258 yards and four TDs in last week's 55-47 win over Cedarville. Barton junior FB Pat Anderson and senior RB Bryan Gause ran for a combined 224 yards in last week's 31-15 win over Green Forest. The winner of this game will play Prescott or Lavaca in the quarterfinals.

The Wildcats improved their playoff record to 60-26 after they beat Earle 35-20 last week. Charleston's last postseason loss was to Bauxite 42-21 in the second round of the 2006 playoffs. Charleston senior QB Derrick Haney has completed 70 passes for 1,409 yards and 23 TDs with just three interceptions in 2009. Junior FB Ryan McDonald and senior WB Michael Meador lead the Tiger rushing attack. McDonald has 130 carries for 1,100 yards and 16 TDs, while Meador has rushed for 399 yards and four TDs and caught 27 passes for 519 yards and nine TDs. Senior DT Tyler Robertson (20 solo tackles) and sophomore LB David Weeks (63 tackles) lead Charleston's 4-3 defense. Junior QB Seth Keese, who completes 66 percent of his passes and has accounted for more than 2,300 yards of offense and 32 TDs, leads the Wildcat spread attack. Harding Academy senior WR, punter, and State Farm Awards watch list player Tyler Gentry has caught eight TDs this year, and he averages more than 65 yards receiving per game and 42 yards per punt.
