FAYETTEVILLE - For the second consecutive day a University of Arkansas freshman football player has been arrested on misdemeanor alcohol related charges.

Blake Johnson, the punter from Long Beach, Calif., was arrested at 1:39 a.m. Saturday on a parking lot by University of Arkansas Police. The UAPD report described Johnson as urinating on a light pole and appearing intoxicated. After twice responding with "Riverside, California," according to the report when police asked where he had been earlier in the evening, Johnson, 18, was handcuffed and taken to the Washington County Detention Center.

He was charged with public intoxication, disorderly conduct and as a minor in possession of alcohol.

Presumably, Johnson will be subject to some disciplinary action by Arkansas head coach Bret Bielema.

On Friday, Bielema announced that freshman tight end C.J. O'Grady, 18, of Fayetteville is "suspended indefinitely" from the team following his postmidnight arrest Friday on charges of driving while intoxicated, being a minor in possession of alcohol, driving with no proof of insurance and driving without a tail light on his scooter.

Bielema had announced that O'Grady and probably Johnson are among the freshmen he expects to redshirt in 2015 to save a fifth year of eligibility in 2019.

Johnson is the backup punter to junior Toby Baker, while the Hogs return veteran tight ends Hunter Henry, a Preseason All-American, Jeremy Sprinkle and Alex Voelzke and activate Jack Kraus, a tight end redshirted as a freshman in 2014.
