No. 1 Pulaski Academy at Cabot (No. 9 Class 7A)
Wide-open Pulaski Academy passes the ball 70 percent of its plays, while Cabot rarely attempts more than three passes a game. Cabot wants to play this game to help prepare for 7A West passing teams in the playoffs, while Pulaski Academy wants its first varsity win over a Class 7A opponent, although the Bruins handled Fayetteville in a preseason scrimmage.
Pulaski Academy trailed Central Arkansas Christian 7-6 in the first quarter last week before rolling to a 47-14 halftime advantage. Senior quarterback Fredi Knighten completed 20 of 25 passes for 244 yards and five touchdowns and ran nine times for 67 yards. Junior receiver Hunter Henry, who has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Arkansas State, Auburn, Florida, Ole Miss and Tennessee, caught eight passes for 98 yards and a TD.
Cabot starts seven sophomores. The Panthers were tied with Jacksonville 13-13 at halftime last week before ripping off 21 unanswered points in the second half. Panther senior linebacker

OZARK (7) at Clarksville: These are former conference foes. Clarksville has won two of the past three in the series, but improved Ozark beat rival Booneville by two touchdowns a week ago.
CHARLESTON (11) at Gentry: Gentry has played well the past two years against Class 3A top-ranked Charleston, losing by 15 points in 2009 and winning by 14 points last season.
PEA RIDGE (1) at Green Forest: Pea Ridge junior Dayton Winn ran for two TDs in last week's eight-point win over Elkins, the Blackhawks first victory since Week 3, 2010.
Berryville at HUNTSVILLE (11): Huntsville gives Tommy Tice his first victory at the school in almost three decades. Huntsville has beaten Berryville four straight times.
SHILOH CHRISTIAN (3) at Tulsa Webster: The Saints were shocked by Heber Springs last week, but played better in the second half. The Saints ran 30 times for 16 yards against Heber Springs.

NEWPORT (1) at Bald Knob: Newport first-year coach Jeromy Poole goes for his first win over his alma mater. Bald Knob has won two straight in the series, including 42-21 a year ago.
White Hall at STUTTGART (3): Stuttgart beat White Hall by four points a year ago. The Ricebirds held McGehee scoreless last week, while White Hall managed just three points against HS Lakeside.
Harding Academy at HEBER SPRINGS (7): Heber Springs can't afford a letdown after shocking three-time defending state champ Shiloh Christian by 19 points a week ago. The physical Panthers ran the ball authoritatively against Harding Academy last year, and they rushed 28 times for 206 yards against Shiloh Christian.
Beebe at LONOKE (1): Lonoke goes for its third straight win over Beebe. Junior running back Eric Williams ran for 135 yards against Star City during Simmons First/Hootens.com Kickoff Week.
Marianna at WEST HELENA (4): West Helena didn't play last week, while Marianna lost at Class 3A Mayflower. Marianna beat the Cougars by nine points a year ago.
Perryville at CLINTON (21): Clinton has won two of the past three over Perryville, including 27-point decision a year ago. Perryville tied Class 2A Bigelow last week.
VALLEY VIEW (14) at Cave City: Valley View senior QB Timmy Merten ran for 140 yards and passed for 131 more in last week's 31-point win over Class 5A Paragould. But the Blazers committed four turnovers.
SOUTHSIDE BATESVILLE (2) at Riverview: Southside Batesville's 24-point win over Cedar Ridge last week was its first since 2008. Riverview surrendered 377 yards rushing against Carlisle.

Osceola at RIVERCREST (3): Defending Class 3A champ Rivercrest snapped a six-game losing streak to Osceola with a 22-point decision last season. Colt QB Robert Cooney ran for a pair of TDs in last week's 35-0 win over Trumann.
HIGHLAND (28) at Corning: Corning snapped a 23-game losing skid with a three-point win over Class 2A Walnut Ridge last week. Highland beat the Bobcats by 48 points a year ago.
VALLEY VIEW (14) at Cave City: Valley View senior QB Timmy Merten ran for 140 yards and passed for 131 more in last week's 31-point win over Class 5A Paragould. But the Blazers committed four turnovers.
Kennett, Mo. at GOSNELL (18): Gosnell beat Kennett, Mo., by 28 points last year and the Pirates haven't lost to any Missouri team since Week 1, 2005.
POCAHONTAS (3) at Paragould: Pocahontas eked past Paragould by eight points last year. Redskin senior QB Spencer Thielmier threw two TD passes and ran for a score in last week's seven-point win over Bald Knob.
Trumann at NETTLETON (1): Nettleton has won six of the past seven in the series, but three of the games were decided by a total of eight points.
DREW CENTRAL (7) at Jonesboro Westside: Jonesboro Westside hasn't won since Week 4, 2009.

Booneville at FOUNTAIN LAKE (1): Booneville clobbered the Cobras by 21 points last season, but the Bearcat offense lacked consistency during last week's loss at Ozark.
OZARK (7) at Clarksville: These are former conference foes. Clarksville has won two of the past three in the series. Ozark's defense recorded 12 tackles behind the line of scrimmage during last week's 14-point win over Booneville.
Dardanelle at MORRILTON (7): Morrilton impressed in last week's 28-point win over Class 6A Russellville and in a preseason scrimmage against Ozark. Dardanelle returned a kickoff yards for a TD and senior Randy Valasquez kicked a 54-yard field goal in last week's seven-point win over Yell County rival Danville.
Dover at ATKINS (1): Atkins rallied with 21 unanswered points and salvaged a tie against Pottsville last week. Dover intercepted four passes in last week's 20-point win over Two Rivers.
MENA (25) at Centerpoint: Mena lost at DeQueen by five points last week but coach Jeff Weaver says the Bearcats will improve as the season continues. Mena mauled Centerpoint 40-0 a year ago.
POTTSVILLE (7) at Lamar: Pottsville has beaten Lamar by a total of 23 points over the past two years. Lamar's Jordan Haas kicked a field goal and returned an interception for a TD in last week's 17-point win at Subiaco Academy.
Subiaco Academy at MAGAZINE (28): Defending Class 2A champion Magazine slipped past Subiaco Academy 35-27 last season and the Rattlers are more venomous in 2010 with senior QB Ryan Chambers.
PARIS (14) at Waldron: Waldron always plays rival Mansfield tough, including a seven-point loss last week. Paris senior running back Mason Koenigseder ran for 122 yards and three TDs in last week's 28-point win against Green Forest.

Hope at ASHDOWN (10): Ashdown's defense continues to dominate. The Panthers recorded three safeties, blocked two extra point attempts and blocked a field goal at Little Rock McClellan last week.
Carlisle at BAUXITE (6): Bauxite bombed the eventual 6-2A champs by 21 points last season. Carlisle ran for 377 yards against Riverview last week, while Bauxite rallied from a 7-2 deficit and downed Glen Rose 26-7.
DeQueen at CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (32): These teams become conference foes next season. Camden Fairview drubbed DeQueen by 35 points a year ago.
HS LAKESIDE (7) at Malvern: Both were impressive last week. HS Lakeside's Ajalen Holley caught two TDs and ran for another in a 23-point win over White Hall. Malvern junior QB Austin Warford passed for 240 yards and ran for 97 more in a 29-point win at Arkadelphia.
NASHVILLE (18) at Prescott: Prescott hasn't beaten the Scrappers since winning 32-7 in 1999. Nashville junior running back Jakaree Gaines ran for 111 yards and tallied 55 yards receiving against Hope.
PULASKI ACADEMY (11) at Cabot: Hootens.com Class 4A Game of the Week. Cabot eked past Pulaski Academy by one-point last fall.
North Pulaski at MAUMELLE (17): Both teams searching for their first win over the season. North Pulaski senior QB Marvin Davis passed for 117 yards and a TD against Searcy.
LR Fair at PULASKI ROBINSON (28): Pulaski Robinson's Brandon Burks returned a punt 75 yards for a TD and broke up a potential game-tying pass in the end zone in the final minutes, preserving last week's eight-point win over Hot Springs.
DeQueen at CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (28): These teams become conference foes next season. Camden Fairview drubbed DeQueen by 35 points a year ago.

Hazen at DEWITT (2): DeWitt goes for its first non-conference victory since beating Bald Knob 15-12 to open 2007.
Dollarway at LR PARKVIEW (2): Both teams were impressive last week. Dollarway's Jeremiah Young ran for two TDs and caught a TD pass in last week's nine-point win over Gosnell.
DUMAS (2) at Fordyce: These are former conference foes. Dumas has won four straight over Fordyce. Fordyce returned an interception and a fumble for TDs in last week's win over Warren.
HAMBURG (6) at Crossett: Hamburg snapped a three-game losing streak to its Ashley County rival with a 49-27 victory last season. Hamburg committed three turnovers in last week's 19-point loss to Class 5A Monticello.
Lake Village at EARLE (14): Earle blasted the Beavers by 20 points last season. Earle's Autrey Allen ran for four TDs in last week's 52-point win at Class 6A Little Rock Fair.
Rison at STAR CITY (3): Hootens.com Class 3A Game of the Week. Star City's Lavonte Gardner generated 138 total yards against Lonoke during Simmons First/Hootens.com Kickoff Week.
Warren at MONTICELLO (7): Warren has won nine of the past 10 games over its rival. Monticello's Will Naron returned an interception 39 yards for a TD in last week's win over Hamburg. Fordyce returned an interception and fumble for TDs against Warren a week ago.
MCGEHEE (4) at Parkers Chapel: This game was addition after Hermitage dropped football, leaving Parker's Chapel with an open date. McGehee held Stuttgart scoreless in the first half last week.
