No. 15 Clarendon at (Class 3A No. 12) Barton
Clarendon's improved offensive line allowed junior QB Jamarlin Jackson and sophomore RB Jamen Jackson to run for a combined 238 yards and five touchdowns in last week's 40-14 win over Brinkley. But (Class 3A) Barton's even better up front and should pick up where it left off after last week's 40-13 win over (Class 4A) DeWitt.

Cedar Ridge at WALNUT RIDGE (7): Walnut Ridge recorded two defensive TDs last week while shutting out 3A Corning 38-0. Senior athlete Preston Matthews ran for 61 yards and a TD and returned a fumble 46 yards for a TD.
E. Poinsett County at MCCRORY (10): McCrory ran wild last week in a 43-8 blowout of Hughes. EPC piled up 341 yards (262 rushing yards) against Palestine-Wheatley with quarterback Darius Barnes accounting for four TDs.
CROSS COUNTY (11) at Marked Tree: Cross County beat Harrisburg (24-14) for the first time in four years Week 1 behind Blake Veasley's 263 yards and two TDs on 25 carries.
Marvell at AUGUSTA (35): Augusta tailback Ishma Clark ran for 100 yards (mostly between the tackles) last week in 48-20 loss to No. 5 Hazen. Augusta sophomore WR Jordan Brown caught four passes, including one for a TD.
YELLVILLE-SUMMIT (6) at Salem: Salem's Single Wing rolled up 290 rushing yards a week ago in a 36-6 win over Jonesboro Westside.

4-2A
DANVILLE (21) at Hackett: Danville trailed Yell County rival (Class 4A) Dardanelle 21-0 in the first quarter before returning two interceptions for TDs in the second quarter, the second by former Two Rivers QB Blake Noakes. Danville DB Michael Jiles' second interception sealed a 35-28 victory.
J.C. WESTSIDE (2) at Western Yell
: J.C. Westside avenges last year's 27-0 loss to Western Yell.
Union Christian at MOUNTAINBURG (4): Mountainburg RB Zach Ross ran for 159 of the Dragons' 176 total yards last week in a 21-14 win over rival Cedarville.  
DECATUR (1) at Hartford: Both struggling to field teams. Decatur has nine more players and a game under its belt, an 18-12 loss to the Gentry sophomores.
Magazine at SUBIACO ACADEMY (3)
: Class 4A Subiaco beat Magazine 40-0 in 2008. Magazine dropped Subiaco 33-27 a year ago. Advantage Subiaco and junior QB Marquis Walters, who last week passed for two TDs, returned an interception for a TD and returned a fumble for TD.

5-2A
Hector at POYEN (5)
: Poyen records its first varsity victory in school history, while Hector drops its second straight game after not fielding a team in 2009.
Mountain Pine at MAGNET COVE (15): Magnet Cove takes its first step toward a conference title after disposing of former 5-2A member Mount Ida 20-7 last week.
Cutter M. Star at TWO RIVERS (1)
: Cutter edged Western Yell County 20-18 last week. Two Rivers lost to Cutter 18-7 a year ago.
Bigelow at ARKANSAS BAPTIST (14): Bigelow last defeated Arkansas Baptist 26-21 in 2005. The Bigelow defense must eliminate big plays this week. Arkansas Baptist senior RB/WR Jon Moon carried six times for 43 yards and two TDs and caught two passes for 62 yards and another score in last week's 56-24 win over Conway Christian.
Quitman at CONWAY CHRISTIAN (9): Conway Christian cleans up turnovers that buried it last week in 56-24 loss to Class 3A Arkansas Baptist.

6-2A
DeWitt at HAZEN (12): Junior RB Matt Tennison paced No. 5 Hazen with 218 of the Hornets' 476 rushing yards last week, while senior end Andrew Sayger spearheaded the defense in a 48-20 win at Augusta.  
Bauxite at CARLISLE (7): First meeting since 1997 playoffs when Carlisle won 14-6 in the first round over defending (1996) state champion Bauxite. Last week, youthful (Class 4A) Bauxite trailed Glen Rose 12-7 in first quarter before giving up 34 points in the second quarter in a 54-28 loss.
Clarendon at BARTON (6): Clarendon's improved offensive line allowed junior QB Jamarlin Jackson and sophomore RB Jamen Jackson to run for a combined 238 yards and five TDs in last week's 40-14 win over Brinkley. DES ARC (28) at Brinkley: Des Arc lost to Parkers Chapel 20-14 last week after the Trojans scored with 25 seconds left in the game. Brinkley has lost six of its past seven games dating back to Week 7, 2009.
England at EPISCOPAL (12): England allowed 300 yards rushing in last week's 36-29 loss to Strong. Episcopal senior RB Jarred Anderson ran for 230 yards and four TDs in last week's 38-27 loss to Hoxie.
PALESTINE-WHEATLEY (12) at Manila: Palestine lost to East Poinsett County 26-20 last week after taking the lead early in the fourth quarter. Manila junior QB Dillon Burrow completed nine passes for 168 yards and two TDs in a 45-0 win over newcomer Melbourne.
Hughes at HARRISBURG (35)
: Hughes lost to Harrisburg 44-0 a year ago. Harrisburg senior QB Zach Davis completed 29 of 57 passes for 316 yards and two TDs in last week's 24-14 loss at Cross County.
Marvell at AUGUSTA (35): Augusta tailback Ishma Clark ran for 100 yards (mostly between the tackles) last week in 48-20 loss to No. 5 Hazen. Augusta sophomore WR Jordan Brown caught four passes, including one for a TD.

7-2A
Fouke at SPRING HILL (36): Spring Hill senior RB Rodrea Jones (1,765 yards in 2009) ran for 170 yards, and junior Kevin Aaron rushed for 140 yards last week in a 42-8 blowout of Lafayette County.
DeQUEEN JV (3) at Murfreesboro: Murfreesboro forced five turnovers last week at Bismarck but did not score until the fourth quarter in a 27-7 loss. The Rattlers managed 223 yards Friday night. In 2009, they averaged 286 yards and 30 points per game.
VALIANT, OK (2) at Foreman: Foreman upset 3A newcomer Genoa Central 28-20 last week. Foreman lost at Valiant 35-20 a year ago.
BISMARCK (8) at Horatio
: Class 3A Bismarck beat 7-2A Murfreesboro 27-7 last week despite five turnovers. A repeat of that gets it beat at Horatio, which notched a quality road win last week at Woodlawn 21-18.
B. Harmony Grove at GURDON (8): Benton Harmony Grove senior QB Tyler Smart ran for three TDs in last week's 35-14 win over Poyen. Gurdon manages to notch just its fourth win since 2007.
Mineral Springs at LAFAYETTE COUNTY (6): Mineral Springs lost by four points to Class 3A Lafayette County a year ago. Lafayette County gave up more than 300 yards rushing in last week's 42-8 loss to Spring Hill.
Mount Ida at JESSIEVILLE (6): Mount Ida surrendered 20 unanswered points in last week's 20-7 loss to Magnet Cove. Former 5-2A member Jessieville beat Mountain Pine 35-8 last week.
Smackover at DIERKS (2): Smackover lost to Norphlet 31-13 last week, while Dierks scored 34 points against Centerpoint, its highest output since the first round of the 2008 playoffs.

8-2A
Hermitage at STRONG (29)
: No. 12 Strong won at improving England last week. Strong and Parkers Chapel are the biggest threats to Junction City and Bearden in the 8-2A.  
Norphlet at JUNCTION CITY (17): Junction City gave up 2 feet per rushing attempt in 2008 and 2 yards per attempt in 2009. Last week, Class 3A Rison TB Rock Caldwell ran for 175 yards against Junction City's young defensive front, while former Junction City DT Byran Jones made five tackles in his first appearance as an Arkansas Razorback.
PARKERS CHAPEL (39) at Dermott: No. 10 Parkers Chapel put the 8-2A on notice last week by knocking off then sixth-ranked Des Arc 20-14 on the road.
Woodlawn at BEARDEN (15)
: Bearden graduated its entire defensive front and it showed last week when 3A Camden Harmony Grove and RB Dalton McKelvin ran for more than 200 yards in a 34-14 Grove victory.
Hampton at C. HARMONY GROVE (25): Hampton lost to Fordyce JV 33-27 last week, a game that was penciled in here as a win for Hampton. Class 3A Camden Harmony Grove junior RB Dalton McKelvin rushed for more than 200 yards and two TDs in last week's 34-14 win over Bearden.
