No. 4 Des Arc at No. 14 McCrory 
McCrory has won three of the past five in the series and two straight, including a 30-28 upset last year after Des Arc had pushed Class 4A Bauxite but lost 45-44. A week ago, Bauxite edged Des Arc again 32-28. Des Arc all-state running back Jackson Morton has rushed for 433 yards and four touchdowns this fall, while senior slotback CJ Conway ran for a TD against Bauxite and logged eight tackles. McCrory could not move Barton's big defensive front last week in a 20-16 loss, rushing for just 9 yards. Barton recorded eight tackles for loss, three sacks and four QB hurries. McCrory sophomore linebackers Lathan Briley, Reid Kennon and Landen Headley paced the Jaguars in tackles.

DES ARC (2) at McCrory: See 2A Game of the Week.
Marked Tree at MANILA (3): Marked Tree senior QB Eli McCrary completed 12 passes for 109 yards, and the Indians ran for 102 yards last week, but seven sophomore defenders could not tackle Class 3A Walnut Ridge junior ATH Cole Manning. Manning averaged 26.4 yard per carry on his way to 290 rushing yards and five TDs.
East Poinsett County at WALNUT RIDGE (10): Class 3A No. 16 Walnut Ridge junior Cole Manning ran for 290 of his team's 470 total yards last week in a 42-6 blowout of Marked Tree. Class 2A No. 12 EPC counters with junior QB Preston Rains, who completed seven of nine passes for 265 yards and four TDs in a 43-12 win over Class 3A Manila.
Rector at CORNING (10): A rematch of last week when Corning's Bobcats literally dropped to their knees and cried after ending the state's longest losing streak (42) by topping Rector 30-8. Corning led 16-8 at halftime but pulled away in the fourth quarter. Corning held Rector to 137 total yards, paced by junior LB Gary Comstock with seven tackles and two TFL.
QUITMAN (30) at Midland: Undefeated Quitman rolling up more than 400 yards per game, and Midland will offer little resistance after losing 56-6 to Class 3A Melbourne, which scored via offense, defense and special teams.
Yellville-Summit at SALEM (14): Salem has won four straight in the series, including 52-6 a year ago. Y-S opened its 50th season of football last week with a 39-12 loss to Green Forest.
CROSS COUNTY is open.

Mountainburg at GREENLAND (17): Class 3A Cedarville piled up 358 rushing yards and five TDs last week while holding Mountainburg to 42 total yards. Class 3A Greenland toppled rival Elkins 31-20 by rolling up 548 total yards and averaging 8 yards per rushing attempt.
Perryville at HECTOR (7): Class 3A Perryville won the Battle of Perry County last week by topping rival Bigelow 35-34. Hector  junior QB Gunner Garrison has completed 15 passes for 402 yards and six TDs this fall with senior WR Caleb Profitt hauling in 11 balls for 320 yard and six TDs.
Lavaca at MANSFIELD (38): Class 3A No. 7 Mansfield defeated Class 4A rival Waldron 38-34 last week, while Lavaca lost 34-7 to Class 4A Subiaco Academy, which had a 100-yard rusher in junior Jackson Frederick.
J.C. WESTSIDE (1) at Two Rivers: Two Rivers ended a 36-game losing skid Week 0 by defeating Marshall 12-8, and it trailed Quitman 6-0 at halftime a week ago. JC Westside won this matchup 48-6 a year ago.
Spring Hill at HACKETT (8): Junior QB Avery Hester accounted for 229 yards and four TDs in a 36-0 pasting of Pocola, Okla. Junior Weston Winters carried seven times for 106 yards. Sophomore Jessie Esparza blocked a punt and recovered it for a TD. Spring Hill has dropped eight straight since beating Genoa Central Week 3, 2018.

QUITMAN (30) at Midland: Undefeated Quitman rolling up more than 400 yards per game, and Midland will offer little resistance after losing 56-6 to Class 3A Melbourne, which scored via offense, defense and special teams.
CEDARVILLE (42) at Bigelow: Class 3A No. 20 Cedarville torched 4-2A member Mountainburg 46-0 last week by averaging 12 yards per carry en route to 358 rushing yards and five TDs. It held Mountainburg to 42 total yards. Bigelow allowed 507 yards in a 35-34 loss to Class 3A rival Perryville.
Bismarck at POYEN (12): Both teams are improved over a year ago when Poyen belted Class 3A Bismarck 58-27. Bismarck handled Baptist Prep 32-18 a week ago, while Poyen dropped Drew Central 20-6. Poyen junior RB Brandon Sanchez ran for 226 yards (8.4 ypc) and two TDs and caught the Indians' only completion (41 yds). Poyen held DC to 114 total yards.
CUTTER M STAR (10) at Rose Bud: Class 3A Rose Bud won last week for the first time since Week 5, 2017 by forcing three turnovers and recording 12 TFLs in a 40-22 win over Marvell. Cutter Morning Star was idle after opening with a 33-12 loss to Class 3A Bismarck.
CLINTON (24) at Conway Christian: Conway Christian got its break from a demanding non-conference schedule last week when it shut out Spring Hill 36-0. CC senior Clay Hammett recorded 11 tackles, three TFL, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, a kickoff for a touchback and three extra points. Class 3A No. 14 Clinton beat Class 4A rival Heber Springs 28-27.
Magnet Cove at ATKINS (14): Class 3A No. 15 Atkins takes down its second 2A opponent, having dropped Hector 45-22 Week 0. Magnet Cove played 15 first-year varsity players two weeks ago and committed four turnovers in 30-28 loss to Class 3A Mountain View.  
ENGLAND (2) at Clarendon: England off to a 0-2 start, giving up 440 yards last week in a 62-24 loss to Class 3A Mayflower. Clarendon picked up an opening win over Class 3A neighbor rival Palestine-Wheatley 12-6 in OT with junior Terance Jefferson posting a team-high 10 tackles. Clarendon held P-W to 217 total yards.
Dierks at MOUNTAIN PINE (15): Dierks donkey-rolled Class 3A Horatio last week 44-0, while Mountain Pine gave up 426 yards in a 40-32 loss to 7-2A member Mineral Springs. Mountain Pine ran for 214 yards but managed just 32 passing yards in the loss. A year ago, Mountain Pine defeated Dierks 48-13.

DES ARC (2) at McCrory: See 2A Game of the Week.
Marianna at HELENA (28): Class 4A Helena led Earle 20-0 at halftime last week and eased to a 20-8 win. Helena beat Marianna last year by 36 points.
Carlisle at DEWITT (7): Class 4A DeWitt seeking its third 3-0 start since 2002. The Dragons have outscored Carlisle 80-28 the past two seasons. Carlisle is 2-0 for the first time in six years after hammering JC Westside 58-14 with senior Kam'Ryn Taylor and junior Collin Jinks topping 100 rushing yards. EARLE (8) at Barton: Class 3A Barton registered a 20-16 victory last week over 3-2A member McCrory, shutting down the MHS running attack with its front seven. Earle lost to Class 4A Helena 20-8. It beat Barton 36-16 last year.
PALESTINE-WHEATLEY (10) at Marvell: P-W rebounds from an overtime loss to rival Clarendon by extending Marvell's losing streak to 20 games.
HAZEN (26) at Bearden: No. 3 Hazen was idle last week after crushing Cross County 48-6 in the opener, piling up 274 rushing and 162 passing yards. Bearden netted 37 rushing yards on 45 attempts last week in a 54-0 loss to Class 3A No. 1 Camden Harmony Grove. Watch highlights of Hazen's win over Cross County HERE.

H. GROVE HASKELL (6) at Gurdon: Gurdon's Wishbone churned out 405 yards last week and the Go-Devils led Class 3A Fouke by 14 points at halftime, but they failed to score in the second half and lost 41-34. Haskell likely follows Fouke's lead and blitzes heavily. Gurdon, which prides itself on solid defense, tackled poorly and lacked discipline.  
Lafayette County at GENOA CENTRAL (2): Lafayette County has been outscored 70-14 in losses to Bearden and Parkers Chapel. Class 3A Genoa Central surrendered 350 yards and committed five turnovers in last week's 24-0 loss to Foreman.
Horatio at MURFREESBORO (34): Murfreesboro punted or turned the ball over on downs seven out of 10 possessions last week in a 48-20 loss to Class 3A Centerpoint. The Rattlers inject the venom  this week against Horatio, which lost 44-0 to Dierks. Murfreesboro freshman QB Sloan Perrin completed 23 of 38 passes for 245 yards and three TDs with no interceptions.  
Fouke at MINERAL SPRINGS (2): Class 3A No. 30 Fouke blitzed Gurdon's Wishbone into a scoreless second half last week and rallied for a 41-34 win. Mineral Springs amassed 426 yards in a 40-32 win over Mountain Pine with junior QB Terrell Fricks and senior RB La'Darius Hicks combining for 256 rushing yards and four TDs.   
JESSIEVILLE (30) at Mount Ida: Mount Ida managed just 194 yards last week, fumbling nine times and losing three in a 48-8 loss to Magazine. Mount Ida has won four straight in this series with Class 3A Jessieville.
FOREMAN (2) at Parkers Chapel: Foreman forced five turnovers and rolled up 350 yards last week in a 24-0 win over Genoa Central. Parkers Chapel lampooned Lafayette County 48-6 with senior RB Kori Morris rushing for 117 yards and two TDs, and senior QB Caleb Jacobs passed for 172 yards and four TDs in the first half. Four different PC receivers caught passes.
Spring Hill at HACKETT (8): Junior QB Avery Hester accounted for 229 yards and four TDs in a 36-0 pasting of Pocola, Okla. Junior Weston Winters carried seven times for 106 yards. Sophomore Jessie Esparza blocked a punt and recovers t for a TD. Spring Hill has dropped eight straight since beating Genoa Central Week 3, 2018.

8-2A
Strong at LAKE VILLAGE (17): Four Lake Village Beavers ran for 76 yards or more in last week's 52-43 victory over Greenville Christian (Miss.), led by senior Malakai Armour's 105 yards on four carries and senior Anthony Jones' 103 yards on 16 carries. Armour snagged four passes for 105 yards and two TDs. A year ago, Class 3A Lake Village slipped Strong 20-6.
Fordyce at CAMDEN H. GROVE (6): Class 3A No. 1 Camden Harmony Grove already owns a win over top-ranked Junction City and it catches Fordyce fresh off its 14-8 mild upset of rival (Class 3A) Rison. Fordyce junior NG Triston Thrower, junior S Ja'quez Cross, junior LB Joshua Harrington, junior LB Gary Lewis and senior LB Dearius Sledge spearhead the fastest defense in Class 2A. Lewis registered a team-high 10 tackles (two TFL) vs. Rison. Camden Harmony Grove counters with all-state ATH Xaylon Falls, who returned two punts for TDs last week (and another negated by penalty), in a 54-0 blanking of Bearden. HAZEN (26) at Bearden: No. 3 Hazen was idle last week after crushing Cross County 48-6 in the opener, piling up 274 rushing and 162 passing yards.
