No. 18 Pocahontas at No. 4 Southside Batesville
These teams have never played. Pocahontas trailed Class 5A No. 7 Nettleton 10-0 at halftime in the opener and held 5A East member Paragould to just 87 yards a week ago. The Redskins also beat Class 5A Valley View in a preseason scrimmage.
Pocahontas gets offensive production from sophomore quarterback Dawson Chester (four touchdown passes in 2018) and senior receiver Devon Adams, who started at QB last season. Adams (4.39 speed at the University of Arkansas camp as a sophomore) lines up on the outside this fall “and he's as good a receiver as we will see other than Warren's Treylon Burks,” Southside Batesville coach Kenny Simpson says. “Chester is a gunslinger at quarterback and they don't mind stretching the defense.” Senior noseguad Nicholas Dilday and sophomore inside linebacker Xavier Taylor anchor a unit that has given up one offensive TD in the first half of games this fall.
Southside Batesville didn't play last week after beating Cave City 35-3 Week 1. The Southerners average 585 yards per game. Senior QB Koby Rich has completed 24 of 35 passes this year for 374 yards and one TD, while senior Will Sitkowski has 13 receptions for 207 yards. Senior wingback Caden Huskey averages 5.8 yards per carry and has four TDs. Southside owns an advantage up front, but junior strong guard Isaac Vanhorn broke a vertebrae in his back against Cave City. Vanhorn might return in two months if he doesn't need surgery, Southside coach Kenny Simpson says.

GRAVETTE (1) at Jay, Okla.: Gravette has never lost to Jay, Okla., handing the Bulldogs one of their two losses last season. But the new-look Lions are struggling this season, recording just one safety last week in a 47-point loss at Farmington. They've scored just one TD this year.
FARMINGTON (7) at Pea Ridge: Undefeated Farmington uses multiple QB's and spreads the ball around while averaging 40 points weekly. Senior QB Eric Hill has passed for 150 yards and three TDs, while classmate Seth Swain has connected on four of six passes for 57 yards and a TD. Senior running back Reid Turner has scored three TDs, while junior Drew Sturgeon has four receptions for 93 yards and a TD. Winless Pea Ridge puts up 265 yards per game. Junior QB Tate Bussey has passed for 247 yards and two TDs (but has five interceptions) and rushed for 75 yards and a pair of TDs. 
Yellville-Summit at BERRYVILLE (8): Berryville led Huntsville in the fourth quarter last week, then fumbled near the goal line when going in for the tying score in the final minutes. Junior QB Richard Heithold completed five of eight passes for 143 yards and a TD and ran for another TD, while junior fullback Brett Parsons ran 14 times for 160 yards, including a 61-yard TD sprint.
West Fork at GREEN FOREST (3): These teams have combined for five wins since 2016. Green Forest has scored just seven points this year and averages 181 yards per game. West Fork has lost 18 straight games.
GREENLAND (6) at Gentry: Expect a high scoring game. Greenland beat Gentry 76-71 in a shootout last season, and the Pirates have the same look this fall by hanging 53 points on Mountainburg last week. Senior QB Levi Vaughn completed all 10 passes last week for 122 yards and one TD, and ran for 47 yards and four TD's. 
Prairie Grove at POTTSVILLE (7): Pottsville failed on a tying two-point conversion late in last week's two-point loss at Class 3A No. 1 Booneville. Senior Kurtis Kemp ran for a pair of TDs. Prairie Grove led Dardanelle 7-0 early last week and trailed just 14-10 in the third quarter.
BEGGS, OKLA. (7) at Shiloh Christian: Shiloh Christian sophomore Eli Reece passed for 201 yard and a pair of TDs in last week's 28-point triumph at Trumann. Junior playmaker Truitt Tollett hauled in eight passes for 138 yards. Undefeated Beggs, Okla., outscores opponents by an average of 47-3 this year.
LINCOLN (21) at Subiaco Academy: Surprising 2-0 Lincoln led favored Keys, Okla., 33-0 at halftime a week ago. Senior QB Caleb Lloyd passed for 212 yards and three TDs at Keys, while junior tailback Christian Sellers ran for 94 yards. Subiaco Academy managed just 23 yards and one first down in the first half of last week's 34-12 loss to Lamar (trailed 34-0 at halftime). Trojan senior QB Luke Hertlein threw a second half TD pass.

Pocahontas at SOUTHSIDE BATESVILLE (7): Hootens.com Class 4A Game of the Week.
BALD KNOB (4) at H. Harmony Grove: Undefeated Haskell Harmony Grove fires off the ball and plays with grit for first-year coach Mike Guthrie. Gritty senior fullback Jake Brooks excels in the Diamond T. Bald Knob led Harding Academy by 18 points at halftime last week and held on a two-point triumph. QB Johnson Capps threw a pair of TD passes.
CLINTON (6) at CAC: Clinton junior John-Riley Hinchey blasted for a pair of TDs in last week's 34-point win over Conway Christian. CAC beat Baptist Prep by 25 points a week ago (the only team the Mustangs have beaten the past two years). But the improved Mustangs split QB duties between junior Eli Garrison and sophomore Palmer Gilbrecht. Senior running back Krishaun Watson has scored three first-half TDs against Baptist Prep.
Lonoke at NEWPORT (7): These are former conference rivals. Newport has won eight of the past 10 in the series. The Greyhounds average 439 yards weekly. Junior Monquell Cox averages 8.7 yards per carry and has five TDs. 
MAUMELLE (21) at Mills: Mills' gave last week with LR Hall was cancelled because of lightening. Maumelle led Vilonia 43-8 at halftime last week. Senior QB Tyler Maxwell has passed for 576 yards, five TDs and no interceptions this fall, while senior Darius Thompson averages 10.6 ypc and has four TDs.
HEBER SPRINGS (7) at Harding Academy: Heber Springs has won four of the past seven in the series. Heber Springs gives up 39 points per game this fall. Harding Academy trailed Bald Knob 21-3 at halftime in Week 2 before rallying within two points late in the fourth quarter.

Pocahontas at SOUTHSIDE BATESVILLE (7): Hootens.com Class 4A Game of the Week.
PARAGOULD (3) at Trumann: A battle of winless teams. Trumann has won eight of the past 17 in the series. Trumann was tied with Shiloh Christian 7-7 in the first quarter last week after returning an interception for a TD, but the Wildcats held the Saints to just 14 points in the first half. Paragould sophomore David Williams ran 37 times for 295 yards Week 1 against Rivercrest. 
Rivercrest at OSCEOLA (1): Hootens.com Class 3A Game of the Week. Rivercrest has won eight straight over its Mississippi County rival. Rivercrest senior Kentavious Robinson ran for a pair of TDs, including a 91-yarder, in last week's 10-point win over Valley view.
Cave City at MELBOURNE (21): This game was originally scheduled last week, but moved back seven days after lightening delays. Melbourne has won five of the past six over the Cavemen, including by 29 points last season. Melbourne junior QB Gabe Lawrence threw three TDs Week 1 in a 26-point win over Midland. Cave City has lost 12 straight games.

4-4A
OZARK (2) at Charleston: Charleston has won 11 of the past 14 in the series. Ozark didn't punt until the third quarter of last week's 29-point win over Class 5A Clarksville. Sophomore Tyler Sanders ran for 153 yards and a TD against Clarksville. Charleston was open last week and lost to Dardanelle by one point Week 1.
Huntsville at ELKINS (3): Huntsville forced a turnover near the goal line late in the fourth quarter last week to preserve a seven-point triumph at Berryville. Sophomore Slayter Watkins ran for 79 yards and a pair of TDs, helping the Eagles rally from a one-point fourth-quarter deficit. Elkins junior QB Quinn McClain has passed for 404 yards and seven TDs with zero interceptions this year. 
Waldron at DANVILLE (9): Waldron ran 51 times for 435 yards (8.5 ypc) in last week's 54-28 decision over winless Paris. Sophomore QB Braden Williams ran for 95 yards, while senior fullback Jarrod Starr had three TD runs. Danville led Dover 43-0 in the second half last week before winning by 24 points.
Dover at FOUNTAIN LAKE (20): Undefeated Fountain Lake has beaten Class 5A Hot Springs and HS Lakeside the past two weeks by a combined 58-27. Cobra senior Ahman Johnson tallied 183 yards and four TDs against HS Lakeside. Dover trailed Class 3A Danville 43-0 at halftime last week.

HS LAKESIDE (6) at Malvern: Malvern has beaten HS Lakeside the past two seasons. But the winless Leopards have been outscored 68-10 in the past six quarters after leading Glen Rose 9-0 at halftime Week 1. HS Lakeside lost to Class 6A Lake Hamilton in the final minutes Week 1, then allowed the loss to carry over in last week's 13-point setback to Fountain Lake. The Rams threw an interception on the first play of the game. “We threw the ball to the wrong people and acted like we didn't know what was going on,” Coach Jared McBride says.

ROBINSON (12) at Camden Fairview: Camden Fairview senior Demetrius Moore sacked Hamburg's QB, forcing a fumble that was returned for the winning TD with five seconds left in last week's 25-19 victory. Joe T. Robinson didn't play last week after mercy ruling Class 7A Rogers Week 1. Senator senior lineman Zach Williams has 18 tackles and two sacks this season.
Dover at FOUNTAIN LAKE (20): Undefeated Fountain Lake has beaten Class 5A Hot Springs and HS Lakeside the past two weeks by a combined 58-27. Cobra senior Ahman Johnson tallied 183 yards and four TDs against HS Lakeside. Dover trailed Class 3A Danville 43-0 at halftime last week.

DUMAS (14) at Lake Village: Dumas sophomore Kylin James ran for a pair of TDs in last week's 24-point win over McGehee. James has 27 carries this year for 200 yards (7.4 ypc). Undefeated Lake Village averages 39 ppg.
Helena at FORREST CITY (2): Forrest City has won six of the past 10 in the series. The Mustangs mercy-ruled youthful Dollarway a week ago. Forrest City puts up 324 yards weekly. Junior Kadarius Akins has rushed for 285 yards and four TDs this fall. Undefeated Helena averages 367 yards weekly. Junior receiver Ahmaud Jones has three catches for 57 yards and a pair a TDs this year.
STAR CITY (6) at Hampton: Neither team played last week, after Star City beat Forrest City by one point in Week Zero and lost to Stuttgart by 26 points Week 1, while Hampton had to forfeit its Week 2 game against Smackover after 17 players were ejected Week 1 against Drew Central.
Monticello at FORDYCE (2): The Redbugs led Camden Harmony Grove 28-16 with five minutes left. Fordyce gave up a fourth-and-16 TD pass and another fourth down TD pass in the fourth quarter in the two-point setback. Monticello has scored just 10 points this year and averages less than 200 yards per game.
Crossett at MCGEHEE (5): These are former conference foes. Crossett has won 10 of the past 13 in the series. The Eagles had 145 yards Week 1 against Magnolia and their game last week with White Hall was canceled in the first half. Winless McGehee plays its first home game after losing at Magnolia and Dumas by an average of 24 points. 
WARREN (28) at Dollarway: An opposing coach says few teams can match up with Warren up front. The Lumberjacks led Stuttgart 9-0 in the first quarter a week ago when the game was halted by lightening. Senior Treylon Burks had an interception and a TD run against Stuttgart. Dollarway failed to cross midfield in its opener against LR McClellan and managed a TD last week at Forrest City.
