No. 5 HS Lakeside (2-0) at NO. 3 JOE T. ROBINSON (1-1): A top-5 battle. Joe T. Robinson impressed last week with a 25-17 road win over Class 6A Jonesboro. Senior QB Tyson Bradden passed for 92 yards and hit senior Caiden Pettus with a 6-yard TD pass. Senior Nick Abrams ran 15 times for 78 yards and 1 TD. Junior Isiah Reese (18 tackles) and senior Joshua Smith (10 tackles) led the defense.

HS Lakeside impressed with last week's 56-27 mercy-rule victory over Sheridan. Ram junior QB Wally Walcott passed for 194 yards and 2 TDs, while senior RB Grady Ohman ran 15 times for 133 yards and 5 TDs. The Rams defense stopped Sheridan on fourth down 4 times and forced 2 turnovers. “This game will come down to turnovers,” Lakeside coach Gerren Rockwell says.

No. 5 HS Lakeside (2-0) at NO. 3 JOE T. ROBINSON (1-1): Hootens.com Class 5A Game of the Week.

Watson Chapel (1-1) at CLASS 4A MILLS (2-0): Watson Chapel forfeited this game in the summer.

CLASS 4A DEWITT (1-0) at Jacksonville (1-1): DeWitt beat CAC 31-7 two weeks ago, with RB Korri Graham running for 155 yards and 2 TDs, while QB Justin Ross passed for 138 yards and 1 TD and ran 8 times for 60 yards. Jacksonville's Mason Ball plunged 3 yards for the winning TD with 2 minutes left, then DB Keivon Span intercepted a pass on the final play.

NO. 7 MAUMELLE (1-1) at Vilonia (1-0): Vilonia beat Sylvan Hills 31-12 last week, Maumelle beat Sylvan Hills 36-0 the previous week. QB Skyler Cole (19-28-359-3) and RB Caiden Gipson (18-74-1) led the Eagles, while Sam Coffman kicked a field goal and made both extra points. Maumelle trailed LR Parkview 9-0 in the third quarter last week before losing 51-6. Junior Jacob Henry averaged 15 yards per carry, while junior safety Tari Ransome had an interception.

NO. 9 CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (1-1) at Pine Bluff (0-2): Pine Bluff turned the ball over 6 times and had a punt blocked in last week's 35-6 loss to Dallas (Texas) Kimball. The Zebras have scored 1 TD this fall. Camden Fairview rallied from a 14-point fourth quarter deficit last week but lost to El Dorado 35-34. QB Darrell Atkins passed for 299 yards and 3 TDs.

MORRILTON (2-0) at White Hall (0-2): Morrilton jumped on Arkansas High of Texarkana 48-14 in the second quarter last week, easing to a 51-21 decision. QB Maddox Berry and receivers Donte Cox and Andrew Rhoden have played well this year for the Devil Dogs. Winless White Hall has lost to Class 6A Sheridan and Warren this fall by a combined 90-34. Xavier Wallace ran for a second-half TD at Warren.

Harrison (0-1) at SEARCY (1-1): Both teams stinging from losses last week (Harrison lost to rival Mountain Home 30-14, Searcy lost at Valley View 49-28). Harrison inside LBs Caydem Long and Ty Bundy combined for 23 tackles. Searcy surrendered 277 yards rushing at Valley View.

Greene Co. Tech (1-1) at BEEBE (1-0): Beebe has won 9 of the past 10 in the series. Beebe trailed Nettleton 14-7 in the second quarter last week before rallying for a 21-17 victory. QB Mason Harbin threw for 2 TDs and ran for the game-winner in the fourth quarter. Greene County Tech has lost to Class 4A Gosnell and Pocahontas by a combined 64-19.

5A EAST

NO. 2 HARDING ACADEMY (0-1) at Class 4A Central Arkansas Christian (0-2): Harding Academy trailed Class 6A Marion 12-7 in the third quarter last week before wilting late 37-7. Senior QB Owen Miller threw a 32-yard TD pass to RB Isaac Baker for Harding Academy's only score. CAC sophomore Brady Vantilborg caught a TD pass in last week's 41-7 loss at Stuttgart.

Class 4A Lonoke (0-1) at WYNNE (1-1): Lonoke lost to Class 5A Jacksonville 8-7 last week, giving up a safety and the winning TD with 2 minutes left. Sophomore QB Dylan Dean hit sophomore Jonathan Hixson for a 42-yard catch and run for a TD at Jacksonville. Wynne beat Forrest City 56-36 last week. RB Christian Wren (14-141-3) and QB Siler Holbrook (13-102-1 rushing) led the Yellowjackets offense, while Corbin O'Hara (2 interceptions) and Braylan McDowell (8 tackles, 1 forced fumble) led the defense.

Batesville (0-2) at CLASS 4A SOUTHSIDE (2-0): Southside has won both previous meetings over neighboring Batesville, including last year 42-10. Southside Coach Kenny Simpson says the Southerners played much better in last week's 49-13 win than it did in a 33-32 win over Forrest City in the opener. Senior Owen McLaughlin, who moved from Batesville in the summer, ran for 140 yards in the first half. Senior RB/OLB Louis Calhoun has played well this fall, Simpson says. Batesville has lost its 2 games this year by a combined 108-42. Junior QB Cole Bentz passed for 128 yards and 1 TD and ran for another TD in last week's 66-24 loss at Newport.

Brookland (0-1) at CLASS 4A POCAHONTAS (1-1): Pocahontas beat Greene County Tech by 24 points a week ago, with sophomore Xayver Ballard running for 148 yards and 1 TD, and returning a kickoff 85 yards for a TD. Senior RB D.J. Coffey (25-215-1) averaged nearly 9.0 yards per carry, while Junior Brendyn Arnold returned an interception 50 yards for a TD, and converted a 22-yard field goal and all 5 extra points. Brookland beat Jonesboro Westside 42-0 two weeks ago after jumping a 35-0 advantage in the second quarter.

Class 4A Blytheville (0-1) at NETTLETON (1-1): Blytheville QB Jontavious Johnson was injured 2 weeks ago in a 32-point loss to Mills and might not be able to play this week, Coach Jett Howard says. WR Derick King, Jr., and TE Chris Hatcher both played well vs. Mills. Nettleton led Beebe late in the second half last week before losing 21-17. Senior QB Maddox Hampton (13-22-171-2) and WR Jorden Simmons (3-108-2) led the offense, while Keon Stallings (6 tackles) led the defense.

NO. 6 VALLEY VIEW (2-0) at Class 6A West Memphis (0-1): Valley View ran for 277 yards in last week's 21-point win over Searcy. Senior QB Drew Gartman (12-15-187-2 passing; 14-189-4 rushing) and senior WR Andrew Jones (5-108-1) controlled the game. West Memphis spent the bye week working to improve its offense, coach Vincent Newton says.

Class 3A Hoxie (1-1) at PARAGOULD (2-0): Paragould is 2-0 for the first time since 1998 after beating Kennett, Mo., last week 36-0. Cole Chipman (17-153-2) and Mikey Peckrul (16-99-1) led the Rams running attack. Hoxie beat Jonesboro Westside 14-13 last week. Hoxie's Dylan Guthrie ran for 129 yards and 1 TD, while Mack Slaughter led the Mustangs with 13 tackles.

5A SOUTH

MAGNOLIA (1-0) at Class 4A Bauxite (1-1): Magnolia ran 52 times for 179 yards 2 weeks ago in a beat Nashville 26-7. Seniors Jamarion Young (24-94) and Ryderius Moore (13-44-1) and junior Walker Carter (13-53-1) run for most of the yardage. Bauxite trailed Monticello 20-13 in the third quarter last week before losing 41-20. Oklahoma commit Marcus Wimberly has taken most of the snaps at QB this fall (TD run at Monticello). Tony Fox ran for a TD, and backup QB Brody Cole hit Chad Robinson for a 19-yard TD late at Monticello.

CLASS 4A ASHDOWN (0-1) at Hope (0-1): Former Hope defensive coordinator Eryc McCaslin returns as Ashdown's head coach. Ashdown trailed Mills 37-0 in the first half last week, losing 46-0. The Panthers surrendered 612 yards. Hope gave up 51 points against Nashville. The Bobcats managed 54 yards (8 rushing, 46 passing).

CLASS 7A BRYANT (2-0) at No. 1 LR Parkview (2-0): Bryant beat Christian Brothers (Mo.) 42-21 a week ago after jumping to a 28-0 advantage in the second half. LR Parkview led Maumelle 9-0 at halftime last week on 3 field goals from Solomon Aguilar. The Patriots scored 42 second-half points with10 offensive snaps. Senior LB Jace White intercepted 2 passes and forced 2 fumbles. Senior Monterrio Elston ran 4 times for 65 yards and 1 TD and caught 3 passes for 78 yards and 1 TD.

ALMA (1-1) at Hot Springs (1-1): Alma scored 28 points in the first half of last week's 28-14 win over Class 6A Siloam Springs. WR/DB Brayden Polecat caught a 12-yard TD pass and intercepted 1 pass. Hot Springs' 52-14 loss at Arkadelphia last week “was our worst performance since I've been here (2018-2024),” Coach Darrell Burnett says. RB Antwan Berry ran for 83 yards and 1 TD, while Chris Seguin made 15 tackles.

Class 6A EL DORADO (1-1) at Arkansas High (0-2): Thee teams haven't played since Week 10 2017, when El Dorado won 28-0. El Dorado lost by 7 points in the opener to Class 7A LR Christian and last week beat Camden Fairview 35-34. Jeremy Samuel led El Dorado with 103 rushing yards and 3 TDs, while QB Cannon Jones passed for 190 yards. Arkansas High of Texarkana trailed Morrilton 48-14 in the first half last week before losing 51-21. Junior Zephaniah Black ran for 102 yards and 1 TD.

Class 2A Lafayette County (1-0) at DE QUEEN (1-1): De Queen snapped a 27-game losing streak with last week's 35-0 win over Class 3A Horatio. The Leopards ran for 283 yards and 5 TDs, while limiting Horatio to 58 yards and not allowing a third-down conversion. Lafayette County hasn't played since beating Hampton 24-14 in Week 0, when senior Rodrevious Bailey tallied 210 yards (130 rushing, 80 receiving).

5A WEST

Class 4A PRAIRIE GROVE (1-0) at Farmington (0-2): Farmington lost a shootout at Class 7A Har-Ber last week 65-50. QB Ayden Lester passed for 227 yards and 3 TDs and ran for 115 yards and 3 TDs. Prairie Grove beat Tahlequah (Okla.) Sequoyah 59-13 a week ago. The Tigers tallied 511 yards and the defense forced 5 turnovers. Senior QB Alex Abshier (4-7-141-1 passing) and RB Elijah Sugg (13-102-2) paced the attack, while Jace Edwards ran 3 times for 103 yards and 1 TD.

Class 4A POTTSVILLE (2-0) at Clarksville (0-1): Pottsville squeezed past Charleston 38-35 last week. The Apaches ran for almost 300 yards and Nelson Velasquez nailed a 41-yard field goal in the fourth quarter to set the winning margin. Senior Miller Mahan had 3 TDs and senior tight end Landon McNeely caught a 3-yard TD pass in the third quarter. Clarksville lost to Ozark 31-13 two weeks ago by allowing 279 yards rushing.

GREENBRIER (1-1) at Class 6A Van Buren (1-1): Greenbrier's defense played well in last week's 10-7 loss to Class 6A Russellville. QB Jack Palmer threw a TD pass to junior Salter Mahan for the Panther's score. Van Buren WR Trenton Cooley set a school record (14 catches, 251 yards and 2 TDs) in last week's 49-28 loss to Springdale.

Class 6A SILOAM SPRINGS (1-1) at Pea Ridge (0-2): Siloam Springs lost to Alma 28-14 last week, with QB Dane Marlatt throwing a 59-yard TD pass to Mikey McKinley and Ryan Estacio running 19 yards for a TD. Pea Ridge trailed Gentry 10-6 in the third quarter last week before losing 31-20. The Blackhawks managed just 103 yards and committed 2 turnovers.
