Hogs: Texas A&M tilt to be televised by CBS, Bielema thrilled
FAYETTEVILLE - The Arkansas Razorbacks vs. Texas A&M Aggies SEC football game, Sept. 27 at the Dallas Cowboys AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas has been set for a CBS nationally televised 2:30 p.m. kickoff it was announced Monday.
At Monday's press conference advancing Arkansas' 6 p.m Saturday ESPNU televised nonconference game with Northern Illinois at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville, Arkansas Coach Bret Bielema was asked about the significance of CBS, which gets first option on Saturday SEC games, choosing Arkansas vs. nationally No. 6 Texas A&M over big SEC matchups Missouri, ranked 18th, at 14th-ranked South Carolina and Tennessee at 13th-ranked Georgia.
"I'm excited about it," Bielema said. "I'm excited to play Northern Illinois, but I'm not going to ignore the fact we have made a big deal going into Dallas Cowboys Stadium every year, playing Texas A&M. We recruit the Tex Hogs extremely hard. We knew this year we were guaranteed two games in Texas. One against Texas Tech (Arkansas' 49-28 victory last Saturday in Lubbock) and one's against A&M. I think the kids will be excited. I think it's awesome."
