HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 10 Shiloh Christian at No. 8 Morrilton
Shiloh Christian plays its first game as members of the 5A West. The Saints beat Warren 26-25 in Week 1 but haven't won since. The Saints trailed Class 6A No. 1 Greenwood 37-0 in the first quarter and 51-7 at halftime last week. "Shiloh is a good team, we aren't blinded by the Greenwood score, because we know Greenwood does that to lots of teams," Morrilton coach Cody McNabb said. "Shiloh executes the passing game well." Saint senior quarterback Casey Paraday has completed 62 of 97 passes for 749 yards and seven touchdowns this season, while senior Ryan Michaelis has caught 24 passes for 426 yards and five scores. Junior linebacker Nick Gookin (20 tackles) and sophomore end Samuel Taylor (20 tackles)

Morrilton lost to Russellville by eight points in the opener and beat Searcy 21-17 last week with a last second pass. The Devil Dogs must avoid getting in a slump with games against Alma, Greenbrier and Vilonia the next month. Morrilton senior QB Tony Hawkins struggled against Russellville but rushed for 160 yards last week, while senior running back Jamar Criswell ran for 155 yards. Rashad Criswell, Jamar's cousin, caught three passes on the final drive, including the game-winner. "We've heard since we joined this league that Morrilton is talented and this is their year," Shiloh Christian coach Josh Floyd said. "They run the ball as well as anyone we've seen."

WEEK 4 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
5A CENTRAL
West Helena at JACKSONVILLE (7): Jacksonville plays its first Class 5A game after winning its first game of the season last week, 12-7 against Maumelle. West Helena gave up 33 points in the first half of last week's 43-0 loss at Wynne.
LR McClellan at MILLS (14): Mills uses defense and special teams to set up its offense. The Comets returned two punts that set up TDs against Little Rock Hall two weeks ago and recovered two fumbles that set up TDs last week against Blytheville. Little Rock McClellan has scored six points this season.
North Pulaski at PULASKI ACADEMY (42): These teams play for the first time. Pulaski Academy tight end Hunter Henry didn't play in last week's 30-21 loss at West Memphis and QB Lawson Vassar missed the second half with an ankle injury.
SYLVAN HILLS (2) at LR Christian: Little Rock Christian hasn't played a complete game since losing to Hot Springs Lakeside 41-27 on Aug. 27. The Warriors played less than a half against White Hall in Week 2 and their game with CAC was canceled last week. Sylvan Hills sophomore QB Tra Doss led the Bears to three straight scores in the second half of last week's 17-14 win over Newport.

5A EAST
Forrest City at GREENE COUNTY TECH (1): Forrest City has won two games this year after going winless last fall. The Mustangs jumped to a 49-0 halftime advantage against Marianna last week. Greene County Tech QB Dylan Hartwig threw three TD passes in last week's 48-40 loss at Highland.
Nettleton at BATESVILLE (17): Nettleton hasn't beaten Batesville since 2000. Nettleton has won consecutive games for the first time since mid-October 2007. Batesville trailed Jonesboro by a TD late in the fourth quarter last week before losing 31-17.
Paragould at BEEBE (3): Beebe starts the season 0-3 for the second time in three years. The Badgers scored just seven points this season. Paragould's Dylan Hoggard and Jordan Sayre each rushed for more than 200 yards in last week's 48-27 win over Kennett, Mo.
WYNNE (16) at Blytheville: Wynne outscored Vilonia 14-0 in the first quarter two weeks ago before lightening halted it, and the Yellowjackets jumped on West Helena 33-0 in the first half last week. Blytheville rushed 27 times for 83 yards in last week's 21-0 loss at Mills.

Harrison at VILONIA (3): Harrison committed eight turnovers in last week's 18-point loss at Class 7A Rogers Heritage. Vilonia struggled slowing Wynne's passing attack in the first quarter two weeks ago before the game was called because of lightening. Vilonia held Beebe to 61 yards in the first half last week.
