HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 11 Paris at No. 18 Mansfield
Paris has beaten Green Forest, Waldron and Heavener, Okla., by a combined 127-15. The Eagles held Heavener to 75 yards rushing in last week's 50-0 win. Senior quarterback Josh Parsons and senior running back Mason Koenigseder (27 carries for 287 yards and five touchdowns this season) left the game in the first quarter with injuries. "Their skill players are the best in the conference," Mansfield coach Jason Gill says. "They have weapons at every spot on the field." Koenigseder should play this week, says Paris coach Bryan Hutson, while Parsons is listed as day-to-day.

Gill says Mansfield found its offensive identity last week, rushing for more than 300 yards in a 28-20 loss at Mena. "That's where we want to be," the coach says. "The offensive line blocked well and our ‘backs hit their holes right." Junior RB Timmy Snider has rushed for almost 400 yards and five TDs this season, including a 221-yard performance a week ago. Jacob Jetton (6-3, 240) and Hunter Black (6-2, 310) anchor Mansfield's senior-laden line. "They're extremely good up front," Hutson says. "It's going to be a chore to stop them."
