No. 2 North Little Rock at Class 6A No. 2 Jonesboro
Jonesboro has about half the enrollment but hopes to challenge Arkansas' most talented team. North LR has outscored in-state foes by a 41-8 average so far, losing only at Longview, Texas, 30-14.?West Memphis lost to both, at North LR 42-0 last Friday and at Jonesboro 30-21 a week earlier.

"Both teams have good defensive fronts," says West Memphis coach Lanny Dauksch. "It could come down to who can throw it."?Junior QB Payton Holmes, one of only five North LR underclassmen starting, passed for 182 yards and two touchdowns against West Memphis.?North LR running back Altee Tenpenny (6-0, 215) has 81 carries for 507 yards (6.25 yards per carry), but the University of Alabama commit was limited to 45 yards (2.8 yards per carry) last week and 67 yards Week 2 at Longview, Texas.
Tenpenny's superlatives (4.35 speed, 330-pound power clean and 500-pound squat) out measure Jonesboro senior Martin Stafford (5-9, 190), but Stafford's "bull yards are incredible," Jonesboro coach Randy Coleman says. "Often, when he gets hit at the line of scrimmage, he'll make five yards. He's typically moving forward. He plays his guts out."
Jonesboro starts six seniors on offense. Unsung junior H-back Matt Fitts (6-1, 221; 4.0 GPA) leads scrappy Stafford (841 yards, nine yards per carry and nine TDs in 2012) through holes. Dual-threat junior QB D.J. Anderson (5-9, 176) compliments, making this the best Hurricane team in more than a decade.

"North Little Rock is as good a team as I've seen," Coleman says. "We don't have a lot of depth like 7A schools. Our backups are not the caliber of North Little Rock's backups. They've probably got at least 17 or 18 guys on both offense and defense who they are real comfortable with."

Meanwhile, injuries continue to keep Jonesboro senior noseguard Jaron Lopez (5-9, 293) and senior defensive end Dylan Martin (6-, 289) sidelined.

WEEK 6 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
7A/6A CENTRAL
FS Northside at CONWAY (17): Seven Conway players scored in last week's 63-6 win at LR Hall. Meanwhile, Northside committed seven penalties for 78 yards (two personal fouls) last week along with three turnovers. The winless Grizzlies allow 52 points weekly.
LR Catholic at GREENWOOD (15): Greenwood scared at LR Parkview last Friday, tied 21-21 in fourth quarter. Catholic scores just 16.6 points and much of it against second-half reserves. Catholic beat winless Class 6A LR Hall for its lone victory.
LR Hall at FS SOUTHSIDE (50): Hapless Hall has totaled 20 points in 2012, returning a kick to score in last week's 63-6 loss to Conway. Southside led LR Catholic 42-6 at halftime last Friday. Catholic beat Hall 28-8 two weeks ago.

7A/6A EAST
Mountain Home at CABOT (14): Cabot goes to 3-0 against smaller classification schools. Class 6A Mountain Home totaled 80 yards more offense and led late in 44-41 loss to Searcy last week.
LR Central at WEST MEMPHIS (7): Coach Lanny Dauksch says "this is a big game for both of us." Central has lost four straight. West Memphis returns home after losing at Jonesboro and North LR. 7A/6A SOUTH
BRYANT (39) at LR Fair: After losing its first two games by a combined three points, Fair has lost the past three weeks by a total of 122 points. Bryant, 14-point favorites last week at Pine Bluff, led 14-0 early and it could have been 28-0 if not for two dropped passes.

7A/6A WEST
BENTONVILLE (21) at Rogers: Bentonville, riding a 21-game conference win streak, will not be pushed again until November. Run-oriented Rogers, 5-0 for the first time since playing for a state title in 2006, used 6:30 clock with a 60-yard TD drive late to seal last week's 56-47 win at Van Buren. Rogers plays top-ranked Bentonville this week, then defending state champ Fayetteville before traveling to No. 4 ranked Har-Ber.
Rogers Heritage at FAYETTEVILLE (14): Healthy on defense and suspensions lifted, defending state champion Fayetteville looks ready to make another run. Brice Gahagans, Fayetteville's all-time leading rusher, returns from injury before the end-of-season showdowns against Har-Ber and Bentonville. Heritage likely must win Week 10 against rival Rogers to claim "best of the rest in the west" title.
Van Buren at SPRINGDALE HAR-BER (21): Har-Ber has lost to just one team (FS Southside) in the month of October since 2007. Van Buren pushed undefeated Rogers in a shootout last week, passing for 257 yards. A failed fake punt and surrendering 465 yards were too much to overcome. Har-Ber won the last meeting 38-7 at Van Buren in 2007.
SPRINGDALE (11) at Siloam Springs: Bulldogs end three-game skid and start Siloam's ghoulish October. The Panthers play Har-Ber next week before traveling to Fayetteville and to Rogers the following Fridays.
