No. 7 Ozark at No. 10 Gravette

A battle of 5-0 teams and the winner taking a leap toward the conference title. Ozark hasn't won a league title since back-to-back 4-4A championships in 2006-2007, while Gravette captured the 1-4A in 2007. Undefeated Ozark owns impressive wins over Booneville, Clarksville, Charleston and Prairie Grove (a combined 12-8 record). The diverse Hillbillies run and pass the ball effectively. Senior running back Asher Ree has gained 617 yards and seven TDs this year, while junior quarterback Jonathon McKenzie has completed 44 of 87 passes for 831 yards and seven scores. Junior Toby Richard paces the Hillbillies with 22 catches for 516 yards and five TDs. Junior linebackers Brandon Brokeshoulder and Ethan Hawkins fuel Ozark's defense, which gives up 12 points a game. "Ree is a great runner and their receivers can take a short pass the distance," said Gravette coach Bill Harrelson.

Gravette beat its five opponents by an average of 23 points a game. Gravette senior QB Clayton Alexander completes 63 percent of his passes for 950 yards and 11 TDs this year, while classmate Darrick Strzelecki has rushed for almost 800 yards and 13 TDs. Senior linebackers Kelton McDougal and Adam Roberts pace a unit that held Gentry scoreless until the fourth quarter last week. "They play great technique on defense," said first-year Ozark coach Jeremie Burns.

FARMINGTON (30) at Berryville: Berryville hasn't beaten Farmington since 2003. The Bobcats surrender 34 points weekly. Farmington rallied from a 21-point deficit but lost to Prairie Grove 28-21 a week ago.
Ozark at GRAVETTE (1): Hootens.com Class 4A Game of the Week.
Gentry at PEA RIDGE (3): Pea Ridge junior Dayton Winn has rushed for 752 yards and eight TDs this fall, including a 241-yard, two-TD performance against Shiloh Christian last week. Winless Gentry scored a pair of fourth-quarter TDs in last week's 34-14 setback to Gravette last week.
Shiloh Christian at PRAIRIE GROVE (2): Prairie Grove handed Shiloh Christian's its last conference loss 40-32 in 2005. The Tigers also upended the Saints 20-8 in 2003. Shiloh Christian junior QB Michael Slone has passed for 630 yards and seven TDs this season, while sophomore Chris Cox has rushed for 205 yards and caught 15 passes for 111 yards.

Cave City at CLINTON (11): Cave City snapped a five-game losing streak with its 9-0 win over Marianna last week. Senior Brandon Telford rushed for 107 yards against Marianna. Clinton senior QB Park Parish ran for 120 yards and a pair of scores in last week's five-point victory over Southside Batesville.
Marianna at HEBER SPRINGS (23): Heber Springs traces its recent football surge to a 32-30 win at Marianna in 2008, when the Panthers rallied from a 30-0 second quarter deficit. The Panthers are 5-0 for the first time since 1975, the same year coach Steve Janski was born. Panther all-state running back Markeyvus Mays returned from a knee injury last week, rushing for 108 yards in his 2011 debut.
STUTTGART (10) at Newport: Stuttgart downed Newport 28-27 in the 2009 playoffs, executing a hook-and-ladder late in the fourth quarter to set up the winning points. The Ricebirds give up just 12 points a game. Newport was tied with Lonoke 21-21 in the fourth quarter, but lost 28-21 a week ago.
LONOKE (6) at Southside Batesville: Lonoke picked up its first win of the season last week, 28-21 over Newport. Lonoke has beaten Southside Batesville an average of 48-10 in their five varsity meetings. But Southside Batesville is more competitive this fall, maybe the most improved team in Class 4A.

3-4A
Valley View at HIGHLAND (3): Highland sits in the same position it did exiting a bye week last season, atop the conference with a 4-0 record. But the Rebels lost four of their final six games in 2010, starting with an 18-point setback at Valley View. Valley View halted Pocahontas' win streak with a 20-point triumph last week.
OSCEOLA (35) at Jonesboro Westside: Osceola has won consecutive conference games and Seminoles are in line to capture their third league title in four years. Since Osceola forfeited a 40-7 win over Jonesboro Westside in 2003, the Seminoles have won seven in the series by an average of 49-4.
GOSNELL (6) at Trumann: Gosnell has won three of the past five in the series, with Trumann winning a pair of one-point thrillers in 2006 and 2008. Gosnell blew a fourth-quarter advantage and lost at Osceola by 12 points a week ago. Trumann senior QB Jimmy Creecy broke a vertebra in his neck against Pocahontas in Week 4 and will miss the rest of the season.
Pocahontas is open.

4-4A
BOONEVILLE (18) at Dover: Booneville must rebound from its 28-point loss to Pottsville last week, its first conference setback since Week 8, 2008. Dover QB Blake Driesel ran for a pair of TDs in last week's 12-point win over Subiaco Academy.
Waldron at MENA (8): Mena needs a win to remain in playoff contention. Waldron averages just eight points per game.
Dardanelle at POTTSVILLE (7): Pottsville can't afford a letdown after beating Booneville for the first time in school history last week. Sophomore QB Michael Perry ran for 301 yards and four TDs at Booneville. Pottsville's last conference loss was at Dardanelle 10-7 last year. Dardanelle returned an interception for a TD and senior Randy Valasquez kicked a 40-yard field goal in last week's 31-point win at Waldron.
CLARKSVILLE (25) at Subiaco Academy: Clarksville has beaten Dardanelle and Mena the past two weeks by a combined 29 points. Clarksville senior Jeremy Larkin ran for more than 200 yards while senior QB Andre Redman passed for more than 200 yards in last week's victory over Mena. Subiaco Academy has scored 33 points this year.

7-4A
Malvern at ASHDOWN (3): The game of the week in Southwest Arkansas could pivot on defense. Malvern forced six turnovers in last week's 19-point win over Pulaski Robinson, while Ashdown has scored defensive TDs in three games this fall, including two in a 28-0 win at Pulaski Robinson in Week 4. Panther senior Daven Burns has rushed for 720 yards this year.
PULASKI ROBINSON (4) at Bauxite: Pulaski Robinson has committed 10 turnovers the past two weeks while losing to Ashdown and Malvern. Bauxite was tied with Ashdown 7-7 in the second quarter but lost by 21 points.
PULASKI ACADEMY (28) at De Queen: Pulaski Academy hasn't lost a league game since falling to Little Rock Christian in Week 10, 2009. Bruin senior QB Fredi Knighten has completed 116 of 159 passes (73 percent) for 1,856 yards and a state-best 25 TDs. De Queen has won four straight conference games, dating back to last season.
NASHVILLE (7) at Maumelle: Nashville's 1-4 start isn't its worst this decade. The Scrappers began 2003 with a 1-5 mark, but won five in a row, including 32-29 triumph at 8AAA co-champ Warren in the first round of the playoffs. Maumelle senior Eric Parks ran for 153 yards and a pair of TDs in last week's 29-27 loss to De Queen.

8-4A
WARREN (1) at Dumas: Warren beat Star City by six points in overtime last week, holding the Bulldogs to zero yards of offense in OT. They also forced a fumble near the goal line in the fourth quarter to force the extra period. Dumas scored a pair of late TDs but lost at Dollarway 22-14 last week.
STAR CITY (4) at Hamburg: Defending league champion Star City still searching for its first league win. Hamburg jumped on McGehee in the first quarter last week but lost 20-7. The Lions give up 20 ppg, while Star City surrenders 19.
MCGEHEE (21) at Lake Village: Lake Village always plays tough against its neighbor, with McGehee winning five of the past nine in the series by a TD or less. McGehee has won four straight since losing to Stuttgart in the opener. The Owls have given up 14 points in two conference games.
DeWitt at DOLLARWAY (10): DeWitt has improved, coming within two points of Hamburg in Week 4 and beating Lake Village 28-14 last week. It was DeWitt's first conference win since Week 9, 2009 and first over a team other than Southside Batesville since beating Bald Knob in Week 4, 2008.
