HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 10 Glen Rose at No. 5 Fountain Lake
Both teams feature two of the best running backs in the state. Glen Rose senior Steven Kehner has 103 carries for 1,173 yards and 19 touchdowns this fall, bringing his career total to 614 carries for 5,072 yards (8.3 yards per carry) and 61 TDs. Fountain Lake senior Mark Makin has carried 382 times in his career for 3,459 yards (9.1 yards per carry) and 49 TDs, including 730 yards and eight scores this year.

Glen Rose has won 37 games since its state title run in 2007, tying Harding Academy for second to Charleston's 42 victories. The Beavers allow 13 points per game behind senior linebacker and three-year starter Dylan Ray. But it's the line play of Glen Rose that stands out most to Fountain Lake coach Tommy Gilleran. "That's the biggest difference I see in them from last year." Sophomore quarterback Collin Hunter and senior receiver Shane Tuggle provide a big-play threat when the ball's not in Kehner's hands.

Defending state champ Fountain Lake, eyeing its third league title in as many years, has beaten the Beavers by an average of 24 points the past four contests. Senior QB Coleman Crawford has completed 22 of 32 passes for 580 yards and seven TDs this season, including a career-high nine passes for 316 yards and five scores in last week's 43-0 win over Cutter Morning Star. Junior LB David Helms and senior LB John Curtis (team-high 13 solo tackles) pace the Cobra defense (seven total points allowed in 5-3A play) with 36 and 35 tackles, respectively.

Highlights from the Game of the Week will be featured on Hooten's Arkansas Football TV show at 11 a.m. Saturday on Fox 16.
