HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 10 Ozark at No. 14 Pea Ridge

Its homecoming at Pea Ridge and the undefeated Blackhawks look to make the playoffs for the first time since 2005. This is the third meeting between the schools, with Ozark winning the other two, including 14-12 in 2010, also Pea Ridge's homecoming. Pea Ridge senior running back Dayton Winn has rushed for more than 800 yards this season, including a 225-yard, five-touchdown effort in the opener against Elkins. When Lincoln limited Winn to 69 yards rushing two weeks ago, Blackhawk QB Austin Easterling threw three TD passes. Senior interior linemen Jayse Anderson (5-10, 250), Tyler Handy (6-3, 285) and Blake Roughton (6-0, 270) form one of the bigger defensive line rotations in Class 4A. "They want to shut down the middle and make you run outside," Ozark coach Jeremie Burns said.

Ozark lost to Prairie Grove 30-6 Week 4 but rebounded with wins over Berryville and Gravette the past two weeks by a combined 69 points. Senior Jonathon McKenzie (15 total TDs) paces Ozark running and passing the ball. McKenzie ran for 138 yards and three TDs last week. Junior Bubba Elder has rushed for more than 400 yards this year, including 83 yards against Gravette. Elder also returned an interception 30 yards for a TD and assisted on seven tackles. Senior linebackers Ethan Hawkins and Brandon Brokeshoulder top Ozark's tackle chart. Hawkins racked up 13 stops and recovered a fumble against Gravette, while Brokeshoulder made 12 tackles. The Hillbillies give up 11 points per game. "We've got to contain Winn, and not let Easterling beat us," Burns said.

WEEK 7 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
1-4A
Berryville at PRAIRIE GROVE (38): Prairie Grove sits comfortably atop the league, coasting to its first conference title since 2005. Six Tigers scored in last week's 47-point win at Lincoln. Berryville hasn't beaten Prairie Grove since 2006.
Gravette at FARMINGTON (11): Gravette has beaten Farmington seven of the past nine years, but Farmington won 20-13 last season. Farmington senior Spencer Boudrey ran six times for 119 yards and two TDs in last week's 40-0 win over Berryville.
LINCOLN (3) at Gentry: These teams were beaten by a combined 73-2 last week. Lincoln needs to win to keep its playoff hopes alive.
OZARK (8) at Pea Ridge: Hootens.com Class 4A Game of the Week.

2-4A
NEWPORT (1) at Heber Springs: Newport hasn't won a road game this season, falling at Sylvan Hills, Dollarway and Stuttgart by a combined 12 points. The Greyhounds start seven sophomores and freshman Carl Turner has rushed for 860 yards this season. Heber Springs jumped on Marianna 36-0 in the first quarter last week when senior Clint Ligon returned a punt for a TD and snagged a 42-yard TD catch.
DOLLARWAY (7) at Lonoke: Lonoke continued its dominance over Southside Batesville last week, winning by 30 points. Jackrabbit tailbacks D.J. Burton and Eric Williams combined for 276 yards a week ago. Undefeated Dollarway averages 43 points a game. Dollarway junior Joshua Liddell has four TDs in the past two weeks.
SOUTHSIDE BATESVILLE (32) at Marianna: Southside Batesville beat Marianna by eight points four years ago, the Southerners only win in the series. Southside Batesville trailed Lonoke 21-14 at halftime last week, but were outscored 30-7 in the second half. Winless Marianna hasn't scored the season and all five opponents have invoked the 35-point sportsmanship rule by halftime.
STUTTGART (21) at Clinton: Stuttgart has beaten Clinton three of the past four seasons. But the top-ranked Ricebirds struggled with Newport last week, winning 20-13 after leading by two points at halftime. Stuttgart senior QB Dontrell Brown ran 85 yards for a TD and threw a 61-yard TD pass a week ago. Clinton's two wins are over teams with a combined record of 1-9-1.

3-4A
Brookland at JONESBORO WESTSIDE (2): Jonesboro Westside has beaten Trumann and Cave City the past two weeks, but the Warriors haven't won three straight conference games since going 4-1 and finishing second in the former 3AA in 1986. Jonesboro Westside's two league victories this fall are its most since going 2-5 in the former 3AAA in 2003, and one of those victories resulted from Osceola's forfeit.
Cave City at POCAHONTAS (21): Pocahontas controls its hopes of winning the first conference title since 2006 with key games remaining against Gosnell and Highland. Cave City tied Southside Batesville 32-32 in the opener, but the Cavemen haven't won this season and have just two victories since 2010.
Gosnell at HIGHLAND (14): Gosnell typical plays Highland as well as anyone in the league. These teams have split the past six meetings, with Highland winning 42-41 in 2010 and Gosnell avenging it 42-20 a year ago. Highland rallied from a 3-0 halftime deficit last week to beat Valley View 21-3. Gosnell plays its second game in five days after beating Trumann on Monday.
VALLEY VIEW (24) at Trumann: Winless Trumann gives up 41 points per game. Valley View QB Noah Johns kicked a 32-yard field goal in last week's 18-point loss to defending league champion Highland.

4-4A
Mena at BOONEVILLE (8): Booneville gets to the meat of its schedule, playing Mena, Pottsville and Maumelle in the next month. Bearcat junior QB Cody Harrell ran 23 times for 100 yards and a TD in last week's 13-point win at Dardanelle. Mena likely makes the playoffs with two wins in the next month.
DARDANELLE (31) at Waldron: Dardanelle's Ethan Sigle returned a fumble for a TD in last week's 27-14 loss to Booneville. The Sand Lizards travel to Mena Week 10 with playoff seeding on the line.
Dover at POTTSVILLE (30): Defending league champion Pottsville hasn't been challenged this season. Apache QB Michael Perry has rushed for more than 700 yards this season, despite sitting out the second half of most games. Playing safety, Perry has intercepted passes each of the past two weeks.
Subiaco Academy at MAUMELLE (17): Maumelle rides a three-game win streak, but those opponents have a combined record of 2-16. Subiaco Academy running back Austin Breed scored five TDs (three rushing, two receiving) in last week's 28-point win over Waldron.

7-4A
CAC (10) at Bauxite: A surprisingly meaningful game after CAC upended previously unbeaten Arkadelphia 7-0 last week and Bauxite snapped an 18-game conference losing streak with an 18-point win at Pulaski Robinson. CAC gained just six yards offense in the first half against Arkadelphia, but senior QB Chase Dowell scampered 26 yards for the winning TD in the third quarter.
Pulaski Robinson at ARKADELPHIA (21): Arkadelphia couldn't muster much offense in the rain last week after QB Jakahari Howell hurt his ankle in the first quarter. The Badgers held CAC to 96 total yards.
MALVERN (28) at Arkansas Baptist: Undefeated Malvern continues mashing conference opponents. The Leopards have won three conference games by an average of 27 points. Arkansas Baptist led Nashville 6-0 in the first quarter last week before losing by 49 points.
NASHVILLE (12) at Ashdown: These teams meet for the 63rd time since 1911. Nashville has won 46 games against Ashdown, including the past eight. 8-4A
HAMBURG (21) at Lake Village: Hamburg must shake last week's 17-14 loss at Star City, the second straight season the Lions lost to Star City in the final minutes. Lake Village's three conference losses are by a combined 112-53.
MONTICELLO (4) at Crossett: This game decides playoff seeding. Monticello senior Diante Barnhill ran eight times for 154 yards and two TDs in last week's 18-point win over Lake Village. Crossett's three wins this fall are more than the previous two years combined.
