HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 13 Mena at No. 6 Ozark
Mena used a Hail Mary pass last year to down Ozark 23-20 and claim its first conference title in 24 years. The Bearcats are in contention for another league crown after beating Waldron, Pottsville and Dover the past three weeks by a combined 123-51. Senior quarterback Austin Rose threw three touchdown passes and senior Jaden Felix ran five times for 73 yards and a TD in last week's mercy rule win over Dover.
Ozark didn't play last week and the Hillbilles have won their league games over Dardanelle and Dover by a combined 97-31. Senior QB Landon Wright completed four of five passes for 86 yards and a pair of TDs in the first half against Dover. Wright has passed for 322 yards and four TDs and rushed for 309 yards and three TDs this fall. Sophomore linebacker Kyle Archer paces the Bearcats with 48 tackles.

WEEK 7 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS)
1-4A
Berryville at GRAVETTE (4): Gravette has surrendered seven TDs in each of its past three games. Junior QB Rhett Hilger passes for almost 100 yards weekly, and kicked a field goal in last week's 41-19 loss at Huntsville. Berryville has scored 28 points the past three conference games.
Green Forest at ELKINS (17): Green Forest impressed last week with a 16-0 loss to unbeaten Gentry last week. Green Forest senior Freddy Juarez registered six tackles and sack vs. Gentry. Elkins sophomore RB Da'Shawn Chairs ran 13 times for 176 yards and three TDs against Berryville, while Jusiah Bettencourt returned two punts for TDs.

SHILOH CHRISTIAN (25) at Gentry: Shiloh Christian ran for 498 yards in last week's 28-point win at Prairie Grove, including 112 yards and three TDs by junior QB Eli Wisdom. Gentry blanked Green Forest 16-0 last week. The Pioneers put up 340 yards, with senior Zach Gunnemann running nine times for 118 yards. Senior LB Jonah Summers earned a 98 percent grade for his defensive assignments, coach Justin Bigham says.

PRAIRIE GROVE (16) at Huntsville: Prairie Grove trailed Shiloh Christian 28-14 in the fourth quarter a week ago, but lost by 28 points. Junior Ethan Miller sprinted 56 yards for a TD against the Saints. Huntsville senior WR Kolton Reynolds caught a 32-yard TD pass and ran 21 yards for a TD against Gravette. 

2-4A
Heber Springs at BALD KNOB (1):
Winless Bald Knob scored first on Stuttgart last week but lost 42-19. Heber Springs sophomore tailback Parker Brown ran 18 times for 224 yards and four TDs and caught three passes for 43 yards and a TD in last week's 47-26 win over CAC. Junior LB Kenan Sneed registered 21 tackles, while sophomore Jayden Johnson had 13 stops, including four TFL's.

SOUTHSIDE (24) at CAC: Southside must come down from last week's emotional 38-37 overtime win over Lonoke. Sophomore Isaac Wallis made nine tackles, including four sacks, while senior QB Landen Haas ran 22 times for 183 yards and two TDs, threw a TD pass and punched in the winning two-point conversion in OT. CAC senior QB Tyler Williams tallied 337 yards (186 passing, 151 rushing) in a 19-point loss at Heber Springs.
Clinton at STUTTGART (16): Coach Josh Price says Stuttgart senior QB Tymir Coppins played his best game of the year in last week's 23-point win over Bald Knob. Senior Jaieden Strange returned from a hand injury (first action since Week 0), running in two TDs and catching another. Clinton used a “total effort effort,” to beat Mills by 10 points, Coach Chris Dufrene say. The Yellow Jackets had 531 yards, including 475 rushing. Junior Spenser Bannister ran nine times for 129 yards.

Lonoke at MILLS (3): Lonoke sophomore QB Bradon Allen completed 12 of 19 passes for 172 yards in last week's overtime loss at Southside, while senior Landon Johnson hauling in eight passes for 79 yards. Jones recorded an interception on defense. Mills surrendered 475 rushing yards in last week's 10-point loss at Clinton.

3-4A
Blytheville at GOSNELL (3):
This is first meeting between these schools located four miles apart. Blytheville won its first game of the season last week, bouncing Highland 34-14. Gosnell has lost its two league games to Pocahontas and Trumann by a combined 75-28.
Cave City at JONESBORO WESTSIDE (2): Cave City still eyeing a playoff spot following consecutive losses to Pocahontas and Rivercrest. Senior Ashton Harrell recorded 10 solo tackles, one interception and one blocked extra point at Pocahontas. Seniors Maddox Moreland and Tyler Martin each had eight tackles, with Martin returning a fumble for a TD. Cave City's Austin Bailey (4.1 GPA, 29 ACT) will be featured this week as the First Community Bank Scholar Athlete of the Week.

RIVERCREST (28) at Highland: Rivercrest senior QB Mike Sharp connected on 22 of 27 passes for 231 yards and four TDs in last week's 21-point win over Jonesboro Westside. Highland has lost its three conference games by a combined 115-30.
POCAHONTAS (8) at Trumann: Trumann didn't allow a first-half point last week and cruised to a 40-14 decision over Gosnell. Pocahontas junior QB Connor Baker completed 11 of 13 passes for 91 yards and a pair of TDs, ran for 191 yards and four TDs and on defense recorded 12 tackles in last week's 49-21 win over Cave City. Greyson Maupin logged 22 carries for 100 yards and a TD and caught a TD pass.

Mena at OZARK (8):

Fordyce at DARDANELLE (1): Dardanelle rallied from a 24-7 fourth-quarter deficit last week to down Pottsville 27-24. Junior QB Drew Vega threw the winning TD pass to Dakota Wilfong with eight seconds left. Vega also ran in two TDs and threw another TD pass to Wilfong. Class 2A No. 5 Fordyce (4-2) has won consecutive state titles.

POTTSVILLE (7) at Waldron: Pottsville senior fullback Landon Mahan ran 21 times for 118 yards and a pair of TDs and kicked three extra points in last week's 27-24 loss to Dardanelle.

7-4A
ARKADELPHIA (18) at H. Grove Haskell:
Arkadelphia junior QB Donovan Whitten completed 19 of 27 passes for 364 yards and five TDs in last week's 34-point win over Fountain Lake. Haskell sophomore Tristan Hogan blasted 10 yards on fourth down for Haskell's first TD, as the Cardinals ran for more than 300 yards.

ASHDOWN (6) at Nashville: Nashville leds the all-time series 54-18, but Ashdown won last fall 26-24 and by four points in 2013. Nashville won one-score games in 2017 and 2018. The Scrappers have lost three straight conference games and are in danger of missing the playoffs for the first time since 1990. Ashdown's D forced four turnovers in last week's 21-8 win over Malvern. 
Bauxite at FOUNTAIN LAKE (1): Bauxite tried multiple defensive fronts last week but couldn't slow H. Grove Haskell's rushing attack. Fountain Lake trailed Arkadelphia 41-7 in the third quarter last week before losing by 34 points.

JOE T. ROBINSON (21) at Malvern: Malvern struggling on offense since junior QB Cedric Simmons' injury in Week 3. Senior Braylon Watson completed seven of 14 passes last week and ran 12 times for 56 yards and a TD. Joe T. Robinson is peaking after wins after wins the past two weeks over Arkadelphia and Nashville by a combined 118-46. The Senators scored on every first half possession in last week's 62-14 decision over Nashville. Senior QB Jack Cleveland completed 10 of 15 passes for 262 yards and five TDs in the first half.

CROSSETT (11) at Monticello:
Crossett senior QB Tyrique Jones threw two TDs and ran for another in last week's 30-point win at DeWitt. Monticello put up 379 yards in last week's 18-point win at Helena. Senior Doerian Allen ran for 137 yards and two TDs.

DeWitt at WARREN (28): Warren has never lost a conference game to DeWitt. The Lumberjacks, with senior QB Riley Cornish and RB Cedric Calbert out with injuries, dumped Dumas 51-14 a week ago. Senior Jared Payne returned a kickoff 70 yards for a TD, while Jacari Lee returned an interception 41 yards for another score. Sophomore Trey Jackson controlled the clock by running 14 times for 124 yards.

Senor Javion Turner ran six times for 92 yards and two TDs, while senior FB Cole Branson ran for 69 yards and pair of TDs. Senior defensive end Trey Proctor racked up seven tackles, including three sacks. Dumas gave up a defensive and special teams score in last week's 37-point loss to Warren.

HELENA (1) at Hamburg: Helena played well in the second half of last week's 42-21 loss to Monticello. Hamburg gained just 105 yards in a 56-point loss to Star City.
