NO. 9 FARMINGTON (5-1, 3-0) at No. 10 Vilonia (5-1, 3-0)Vilonia has won 6 of the 8 games played against Farmington. Vilonia, Farmington and Morrilton are unbeaten in 5A West action. Farmington impressed last week with a 39-27 win over Greenbrier; Vilonia won in overtime at Alma 52-45.

Farmington senior Luke Elsik snagged a short pass on 3rd-and-long, tight-roped the sideline and went 53 yards for the clinching touchdowns with 3 minutes left against Greenbrier. Senior QB Ayden Lester totaled 406 yards (293 passing, 113 rushing) and 5 TDs. The Cardinals have allowed 14 points a game over the past 4 weeks, and held Greenbrier to 121 yards in the first half last week.

Vilonia senior RB John Mason Halley (25-157-3) and senior QB Skyler Cole (223 yards, 3 TDs) made big plays in Vilonia's OT win over Alma.

No. 13 Beebe (4-2, 2-1) at
NO. 2 JOE T. ROBINSON (5-1, 3-0): Beebe rallied from an early deficit to down Pine Bluff 34-12 a week ago behind QB Mason Harbin (193 passing, 2 TDs; 105 rushing, 1 TD). Joe T. Robinson QB Tyson Braddon threw 3 first-half TDs in last week's 35-6 win over White Hall. Junior Kevin 'Deuce' Williams intercepted a pass, then caught a 19-yard TD pass on the possession.

Pine Bluff (1-5, 1-2) at NO. 6 SEARCY (5-1, 3-0): Pine Bluff led Beebe 12-0 in the second quarter of its eventual 34-12 loss last week. QB Davonte Wallace passed for 169 yards and 2 TDs, while Da'Juan Hayes ran for 75 yards. Searcy jumped on Jacksonville 21-7 in the second quarter and pulled away to a 47-7 victory. Senior QB Johnny Bell passed for 168 yards and 2 TDs, while RB Curtis Goodrich ran for 118 yards and 3 TDs.

NO. 16 MAUMELLE (4-2, 2-1) at Jacksonville (1-5, 0-3): Maumelle has put itself into playoff contention with consecutive wins over Pine Bluff and Watson Chapel. The Hornets forced 4 turnovers in last week's 50-12 win over Watson Chapel. Sophomore Levi Warrior and junior Andrew Bjork shared time at QB (combined for 349 yards and 5 TDs). Jacksonville showed improvement last week, trailing Searcy 21-7 in the third quarter before giving up 26 unanswered points.

WHITE HALL (1-5, 1-2) at Watson Chapel (1-5, 0-3): Watson Chapel WR Javeon Williams caught 3 passes for 127 yards last week at Maumelle. White Hall QB Wyatt Golden threw a TD pass to Chris Joe in last week's 35-6 loss at Joe T. Robinson.

5A EAST

NO. 3 VALLEY VIEW (6-0, 3-0) at Brookland (4-2, 1-2): Valley View has beaten No. 7 Harding Academy and No. 11 Wynne the past 2 weeks by a combined 68-12. Senior WR Andrew Jones (9-106 receiving) and WR Parker King (4-42-1) sparked last week's 31-0 victory over Wynne. Brookland snapped a 2-game losing skid with a 35-21 win over Greene County Tech. Senior RB Calvin Spearman ran 28 times for 128 yards, while WR Gabe Carter ran 7 times for 93 yards and caught 3 passes for 18 yards. DB Caden Chambers intercepted 2 passes, returning 1 for a TD.

Paragould (3-3, 0-3) at NO. 7 HARDING ACADEMY (3-3, 2-1): Paragould ran for 327 yards in last week's 56-23 loss to Nettleton. Harding Academy senior QB Owen Miller completed 30 of 38 passes for 416 yards and 2 TDs in last week's 42-28 win over Batesville, while senior Isaac Baker ran for 97 yards and 3 TDs.

Batesville (1-5, 1-2) at NO. 11 WYNNE (4-2, 2-1): Batesville has won 12 of the past 23 in this fierce rivalry, including 2 in the final minutes. The Pioneers have struggled this season, but shown improvement recently by beating Paragould 35-0 two weeks ago and falling to Harding Academy by 14 points last week. QB Cole Bentz passed for 291 yards and 2 TDs vs. Harding Academy. Wynne trailed Valley View 10-0 in the first quarter last week, before losing 31-0. The Yellowjackets surrendered 362 yards. Braylan McDowell (14 tackles) and Cam Smith (8 tackles,1 PBU) led the defense.

NO. 14 NETTLETON (5-1, 3-0) at Greene Co. Tech (0-6, 0-3): Greene County Tech has shown improvement the past 2 weeks, losing to Wynne by 7 points and by 14 to Brookland. Nettleton has won its 3 conference games by a combined 124-55. Senior QB Maddox Hampton passed for 207 yards and 3 TDs in last week's 55-23 win over Paragould, while junior Xavier Harrell ran 11 times for 164 yards and 2 TDs. Senior RB Cam Austin had 96 combined yards and 1 TD, while Jorden Simmons caught 3 passes for 98 yards and 2 TDs.

5A SOUTH

NO. 1 LR PARKVIEW (5-1, 3-0) at Arkansas High (0-6, 0-3): Top-ranked LR Parkview jumped on winless Hope 58-0 in the second quarter of last week's 72-0 victory. Senior Cameron Settles scored 2 first-quarter TDs, the Patriots held Hope to minus-1 yard of offense. Sophomore RB Tony Noble, Jr. (11-83 rushing) led Arkansas High's offense in last week's 42-7 loss at HS Lakeside, while junior Zeryan Randle (10 tackles) and senior Davion Price (9 tackles) led the defense.

NO. 4 HS LAKESIDE (5-1, 3-0) at Hope (0-6, 0-3): Hope was held to minus-1 yard overall, including minus-33 yards rushing, in last week's 72-0 loss at LR Parkview. HS Lakeside pounded Arkansas High 42-7 last week behind QB Wally Wolcott's 2 TD passes and senior Grady Ohman's 172 rushing yards and 3 TDs. Tight end Walker Delong earned praise from the coaching staff for his blocking, and CB Landon Rhea had 4 tackles and blocked a field goal.

De Queen (3-3, 1-2) at NO. 8 CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (4-2, 2-1): Camden Fairview has won 13 of the past 14 in the series and its defense continues to improve each week, Coach Nick Vaughn says. Senior Trent Haygood showed out in last week's 33-7 win at Magnolia with 11 carries for 137 yards, a 67-yard TD catch and an 80-yard punt return for a TD. Senior RB Justin Frazier (18-119-3) emerged last week as a reliable option in the backfield, while senior LB Jerome Williams contributed 11 tackles and 1 sack. De Queen has lost consecutive games to LR Parkview and Hot Springs by a combined 108-23.

No. 17 Magnolia (3-3, 1-2) at NO. 18 HOT SPRINGS (3-3, 2-1): Magnolia trailed Camden Fairview 13-0 in the third quarter last week before losing 33-7. Senior Ryderius Moore rushed 6 times for 102 yards and scored the team's only TD. Junior Chevis Johnson (21 tackles) anchored the defense. Hot Springs led De Queen 14-9 in the third quarter last week before pulling away 42-16. WR Jamarcis Morning caught 6 passes for 143 yards and 2 TDs and returned a kickoff 93 yards for a TD, while QB Sean Elias passed for 202 yards and 3 TDs. LB Chris Sequin made 18 tackles and S Kyin Jamerson had 10 tackles and 1 interception.

5A WEST

NO. 9 FARMINGTON (5-1, 3-0) at No. 10 Vilonia (5-1, 3-0): Hootens.com Class 5A Game of the Week.

Harrison (1-4, 1-2) at NO. 5 MORRILTON (6-0, 3-0): Harrison beat Clarksville 42-0 for its first win. Senior QB Jackson Criner, a converted WR, accounted for 4 TDs. Junior WR/DB Lucas Brumley played well, Coach Chris Keylon says, and C/DE Ben Estes intercepted a screen pass. Undefeated Morrilton handled Pea Ridge 55-27 behind junior QB Maddox Berry (26-36-382-6). Junior WR Dante Cox (9-145-1) and senior Andrew Rhoden (8-134-3) led the receivers, while Raylen Thomas ran for 76 yards.

Alma (4-2, 1-2) at NO. 12 GREENBRIER (3-3, 1-2): Alma lost to Morrilton by 1 point in Week 5 and to Vilonia in overtime last week. The Airedales led Vilonia 14-7 in the second quarter, tied the game late on a TD pass but failed to score in overtime. WR Samuel Schlegel, who missed the Morrilton game with an injury, caught 7 passes for 175 yards and 2 TDs vs. Vilonia, while RB Isreal Towns-Robinson ran for 2 TDs. QB Michael Taylor passed for 318 yards and 2 TDs. Byron Standridge returned an interception 32 yards for a TD and caught the pass with 43 seconds left to force overtime. Greenbrier lost at Farmington 39-27 a week ago and at Morrilton by 3 points in Week 4. The Panthers trailed Farmington 22-7 in the first half and allowed 17 points in the final quarter. RB Enoch Assan ran for 2 TDs in the second half and QB Jack Palmer threw 2 TD passes at Farmington.

PEA RIDGE (0-6, 0-3) at Clarksville (1-5, 0-3): Pea Ridge has won its 3 games over Clarksville. Blackhawks QB Hudson White threw 4 TD passes in last week's 56-27 loss to Morrilton, including 2 to Brayden Wright. Clarksville has scored 19 points in its 3 conference games. Denver Pickarz ran 12 times for 55 yards in last week's 42-0 loss at Harrison, while Brack Denton made 14 tackles and 1 sack. “Our guys are fighting hard and it's time for us to get over some of the bumps and give ourselves a shot in the fourth quarter to win a dogfight,” Clarksville Coach Mitchell Powers says.
