No. 10 Prairie Grove at No. 12 Gravette

Prairie Grove earns at least a share of the league title with a victory, which would be their first since 2005. The Tigers haven't lost since falling to Ozark 13-10 in Week 4. Prairie Grove pounded Gentry 42-7 last week as junior quarterback Cooper Winters ran for two touchdowns and passed for two more. Junior halfback Weston Bartholomew has rushed for 628 yards this year, while senior Daniel Schrock has gained 538 yards. The Tigers give up 14 points a game and held Gentry to 106 total yards. "Controlling Winters is key to stopping them," said Gravette coach Bill Harrelson. "He can hurt you with his arm or legs. They'll run the Wing T, then break into the Spread without changing personnel." Junior middle linebacker Jacob Kahl paces the Tigers in tackles, while senior Dalton Curtsinger anchors the line.

Gravette expected to compete for the league title after gouging Ozark 20-13 in Week 6, but the Lions lost to Farmington and Shiloh Christian the following two weeks by a total of nine points. They snapped the two-game skid with a 46-10 win at Berryville a week ago when senior receiver Dallas Kerley caught a TD, ran for one and returned a punt for another. Senior Darrick Strzelecki has rushed for 1,221 yards and 21 TDs this fall, while senior QB Clayton Alexander has passed for 1,636 yards. Senior linebackers Kelton McDougal and Brandon Meek top Gravette's tackle chart.

Berryville at PEA RIDGE (8): The only game in the league this week without playoff implications. Berryville hasn't won since beating Pea Ridge 21-20 in last year's finale.
Shiloh Christian at FARMINGTON (1): Both teams are in the playoffs. The winner could finish as high as the No. 3 seed, while the loser might drop to No. 5. Farmington's Deon Clay has completed 23 of 31 passes for 325 yards over the past six quarters since moving to QB. Without three starters, Shiloh Christian led Ozark in the third quarter last week before losing by eight points. Leading rusher Chris Cox missed last week's game with an ankle injury but should return this week. Leading receiver Ryan Michaelis (leg) and leading tackler Austin Huett (head) missed last week's game after a car accident, but both could return this week. Special teams player Sam Mays may not return this year after injuring his shoulder in the accident. Freshman QB Drew Tyler is doubtful this week after getting a concussion at Ozark.
Gentry at OZARK (17): An Ozark victory locks up its first conference title since 2007. Hillbilly senior running back Asher Ree sprinted for 321 yards and four TDs in last week's 28-20 win over Shiloh Christian. Ree has rushed for 1,400 yards and 16 scores this fall.

HEBER SPRINGS (21) at Cave City (Thurs.): Heber Springs wrapped up at least a share of its first conference title in 32 years after beating Clinton 33-21 last week. Senior running back Markeyvus Mays has rushed for more than 600 yards since returning from a knee injury a month ago. The Panthers could travel to McGehee in the quarterfinals.
Marianna at STUTTGART (17) (Thurs.): Stuttgart finishes second in the league and is in the playoffs for the 15th straight season. Senior Keith Humbert paces the Ricebirds rushing attack (1,495 yards and 19 TDs) and in tackles. Humbert ran for 263 yards and three TDs in last week's 20-point win at Lonoke. Marianna has made the playoffs just 11 times in school history, and won't make it this fall.
Lonoke at CLINTON (7): The winner gets the No. 3 seed, while the loser falls to No. 4. Lonoke QB D.J. Burton has accounted for five TDs over the past two weeks. Clinton allows 20 points a game.
Southside Batesville at NEWPORT (2): The winner gets in the postseason. Newport has made the playoffs 24 straight seasons, while Southside Batesville (12-47 varsity record since the program began in 2006) seeks its first postseason berth. Newport QB Michael Reynolds ran for three TDs and passed for another in last week's six-point win at Marianna. Southside Batesville has already established a school record with four wins this fall.

Valley View at GOSNELL (3) (Thurs.): The winner likely finishes tied for second. Gosnell QB Gavin Sullivan threw a pair of TD passes in last week's 22-point win at Jonesboro Westside. Valley View didn't play last week, but beat Jonesboro Westside by 38 points in Week 8. Valley View quarterback Timmy Merten will be featured as the Arkansas Air Guard Scholar Athlete of the Week on Hooten's Arkansas Football TV show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday on Suddenlink Ch. 22.
Jonesboro Westside at POCAHONTAS (25) (Thurs.): Pocahontas finishes with at least a tie for second in the league and advances to the playoffs for the first time since 2007. The Redskins trailed Highland 27-25 in the fourth quarter last week before surrendering a late TD.
HIGHLAND (14) at Trumann (Thurs.): Trumann is out of the playoffs for the first time in four years. Junior QB Sterling Stowers threw four TD passes to Ethan Hoppe and ran for another score in last week's nine-point win at Pocahontas. Stowers has generated almost 1,900 yards this fall.
Osceola is open.

4-4A
DARDANELLE (7) at Dover: The winner goes to the postseason. Dardanelle hasn't been to the playoffs since 2007, while Dover went in 2009. Dardanelle's Randy Velasquez kicked a pair of field goals in last week's eight-point loss to Booneville. Dardanelle lineman Kole Gray will be featured as the Arkansas Air Guard Scholar Athlete of the Week on Hooten's Arkansas Football TV show on Cox Channel 644 On Demand and on hootens.com.
Mena at BOONEVILLE (10): The battle of the Bearcats could put Mena in the playoffs. Mena junior QB Austin Warren makes a difference when he's healthy, leading the Bearcats to 104 points the past two weeks. Warren threw for 177 yards and rushed for 60 yards and two scores in the first half against Subiaco Academy a week ago. Booneville finishes second in the conference and makes its 15th straight playoff appearance. Senior fullback Anthony Napier has scored eight TDs over the past three weeks.
Waldron at CLARKSVILLE (12): Clarksville makes the playoffs for the sixth straight year with a victory. The Panthers own tiebreakers over Dardanelle (20-17 win Week 4) and Mena (40-14 win in Week 5). But the Panthers have lost three straight games. Waldron has won just three conference games over the past five years.
Subiaco Academy at POTTSVILLE (21): Pottsville is the conference champion for the first time in school history and has the top playoff seed. Apache sophomore QB Michael Perry has rushed for more than 1,300 yards and 14 TDs this year, while junior Quwillen Porter has rushed for 850 yards and 22 scores. Senior tackle Jeremy Ward, who committed to Arkansas in the winter, "is the best player I've ever coached," Pottsville coach Bryan Rust said. Subiaco Academy is out of the playoffs for the first time in three years.

Pulaski Robinson at MAUMELLE (7) (Thurs.): Maumelle wraps up its first playoff berth since 2008 with a victory. The Hornets tied Pulaski Robinson 12-12 in 2009 and beat the Senators 28-0 in 2008. Senior QB/running back Eric Parks has rushed for seven TDs the past two weeks. Pulaski Robinson's Dale Abraham ran for a pair of TDs in the fourth quarter at Pulaski Academy last week.
MALVERN (4) at De Queen: The winner takes the No. 2 seed and the loser likely falls to the third seed. De Queen trailed Bauxite 14-7 at halftime last week, but won 40-20 after senior Jace Stephens ran for three TDs. Malvern junior QB Austin Warford threw a TD pass in last week's 13-point win over Nashville.
Bauxite at NASHVILLE (7): Nashville makes the playoffs for the 21st straight season with a victory and probably plays at Highland in the first round. Improved Bauxite usually plays well for three quarters before tiring. The Miners led De Queen at halftime last week but lost by 20 points.
Ashdown at PULASKI ACADEMY (21): Ashdown started the season with a 6-0 record and climbed to a No. 3 ranking but has won just once in the past month. The Panthers advance to the playoffs with a victory over unbeaten Pulaski Academy or a Nashville loss. Pulaski Academy has locked up its sixth conference title in eight years. The Bruins held Pulaski Robinson to 60 yards in the first half last week.

Hamburg at DUMAS (3) (Thurs.): The winner gets in the playoffs. Dumas gets outscored by seven points a week, while Hamburg gets outscored by two points a game.
Star City at DOLLARWAY (1) (Thurs.): Dollarway forfeited four victories (three of them conference) last week. The Cardinals need a win and some help to make the playoffs for the second straight season. Star City jumped to a 20-0 lead and cruised to a 28-point triumph over DeWitt last week. Star City finishes as the No. 3 seed and plays at Stuttgart in the first-round.
Lake Village at WARREN (21) (Thurs.): The Lumberjacks slipped in the playoffs as the No. 5 seed by beating Lake Village last year. But they've already secured the No. 2 seed this fall with solid sophomore QB Drake Jones. Warren hosts either Gosnell or Valley View in the first round. Warren senior Jalen Cobb caught six passes for 123 yards and a TD in last week's 31-point win at Hamburg. Lake Village has lost its six league games by a combined 189-26.
DeWitt at MCGEHEE (14): McGehee locked up the No. 1 seed and its first conference title since 2000. The Owls surrender just six points per conference game. DeWitt can finish as the No. 5 seed with a win and losses by Dollarway and Hamburg.
