No. 18 Hoxie at No. 14 Lamar
A veteran Lamar team meets a talented Hoxie squad that features three seniors. Both teams have won 16 games over the past three seasons.
Hoxie, the No. 4 seed from the 3-3A, has won four straight games by an average score of 42-19. Sophomore quarterback Cole Sears has generated 942 yards and 12 touchdowns this year. Sophomore running back Gunner Cook paces the Mustangs with 171 carries for 951 yards and 14 TDs. Senior Brett Nosser and junior Jacob Henson average 10 and 9.1 yards per carry, respectively. Junior linebacker Colton Brown leads Hoxie with 162 tackles. Junior free safety Slade Sullens has recorded 86 stops and one interception. Junior end Conner Roberts (72 tackles and six sacks) and junior tackle Dillon Cagle (6-8, 310) lead up front. "They're big," Lamar coach Josh Jones says. "It's going to come down to who makes mistakes."
Lamar, the No. 3 seed from the 4-3A, has won two of its past three games. The Warriors threw two interceptions in last week's 26-14 loss to Paris. Senior QB Jordan Haas has accounted for 1,569 yards and 15 TDs this fall. Senior RB Justice Williams has rushed for 520 yards and 10 scores, including 54 carries for 298 yards and four TDs the past month. Junior Hunter Sanders averages 7.5 yards per carry. Junior Jalen Chenault leads Lamar with 21 catches for 412 yards (19.6 yards per catch) and seven TDs. Senior left tackle Hayden Carlton (6-6, 300) has recorded 18 pancake blocks. Senior end Shane Sinor paces the Warriors with 84 tackles and eight sacks. "They're solid," Hoxie coach Tom Sears says. "They have good size, their backs run hard and the quarterback makes plays."

FORDYCE (18) at Horatio: Fordyce senior QB Cole Johnson has completed 125 of 204 passes (61 percent) for 2,098 yards and 28 TDs this year. Horatio has lost to Glen Rose and Benton Harmony Grove by a combined 79-14 the past two weeks.
Elkins at GLEN ROSE (42): Elkins gave up 284 yards rushing in last week's 35-21 loss to Green Forest. The Elks' two wins this year were over Mountain View and Melbourne. Glen Rose senior QB Collin Hunter has completed has passed for 1,765 yards and 17 TDs. Sophomore RB Carlos Burton has 112 carries for 1,310 yards and 21 TDs.
Atkins at C. HARMONY GROVE (21): Atkins has lost four straight games by an average of 17 points since beating Charleston 32-29. Harmony Grove has lost three games this year by a combined 22 points. The Hornets' marquee wins were over McGehee (39-35) and Fordyce (48-43).
Centerpoint at GREENLAND (18): Centerpoint in the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Greenland, the 1-3A co-champions, won five league games by an average of 17 points. The Pirates allow 20 ppg.
Riverview at OSCEOLA (1): Riverview has won three of its past four games. Senior RB McKenzie Jones paces the Raiders this year with 79 carries for 787 yards (10 ypc) and 12 TDs. Senior QB/LB Cole Butler has generated 1,187 yards and 19 TDs and is second on the tackle chart with 64 stops. Junior end Rodrigo Thomas has 10 sacks and nine QB hurries. Osceola gave up 394 total yards in last week's 33-12 loss to Rivercrest. Senior RB and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Korliss Marshall (1,706 yards and 24 TDs this fall) left the game early with an ankle injury. Marshall, who also plays free safety and punter, is a game-day decision. Senior LB Anfernee Jones (shoulder) is also doubtful.
MAYFLOWER (1) at Yellville-Summit: Mayflower sophomore QB Adam Dycus has passed for 3,459 yards and 34 TDs this season. Yellville-Summit, 1-3A co-champions, was idle last week. The Panthers committed five turnovers in a 41-20 win over Melbourne two weeks ago.
Episcopal at PRESCOTT (35): Episcopal has lost three straight games by an average of 27 points. Prescott averages 46 ppg this fall behind senior QB Trevor Rucker's 1,874 yards passing and 20 TDs. Senior RB and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Brandon Marks paces the Curley Wolves with 133 carries for 1,112 yards (8.4 ypc) and 21 TDs. Senior end and Arkansas State commit Mark Johnson has 74 tackles and 9.5 sacks.

Jessieville at EARLE (7): Jessieville has lost two of its past three games. Earle's four 3-3A victories were over teams with a combined record of 12-24-1. Senior RB/DB and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Autry Allen has rushed for 6,261 yards and 83 TDs in his career, averaging 14.1 yards per carry.
Smackover at HARDING ACADEMY (21): Smackover beat Camden Harmony Grove 36-33 three weeks ago for its most notable win of the year. The Buckaroos rallied from a 27-7 halftime deficit and held Harmony Grove to 129 yards rushing. Harding Academy has won 11 straight home playoff games. Senior QB and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Will Francis has completed 163 of 222 passes (73 percent) for 2,448 yards and 29 TDs this year. The Wildcats allow 248 yards (99 rushing) and 12 points weekly. Harding Academy held Barton to eight yards rushing in last week's 34-12 win.

Cedarville at RIVERCREST (14): Cedarville lost four 4-3A games by an average of 10 points. The Pirates held Charleston to 212 yards passing in a 14-8 loss two weeks ago. Rivercrest swept the 3-3A by an average of 31 points weekly. Senior QB Phillip Porter has accounted for 1,216 yards and 16 TDs this fall. Senior RB Chris Parker has 66 carries for 475 yards (7.2 ypc) and seven scores. Junior Kani Turner has scored eight TDs and gains 9.5 yards per play. Senior FB/LB Clayton Carlton (237 yards and five TDs; 45 tackles) and junior RB Tim Talley (619 all-purpose yards and five TDs) suffered season-ending injuries in last week's 33-12 win over Osceola.
Green Forest at FOUNTAIN LAKE (30): Green Forest (five wins from 2010-11) has won four straight games. Junior QB Treyton Anderson has generated 1,442 yards and 11 TDs this season. Junior TE Clayton Watson paces the Tigers with 42 catches for 589 yards and eight TDs and averages 10.3 yards per carry. Junior LBs Dalton Ewing and Hector Lopez lead Green Forest with 85 tackles apiece. Fountain Lake's two losses were to Class 4A Pottsville (34-20) and Glen Rose (7-6). Senior QB James Cooper has completed 51 of 84 passes (61 percent) for 1,127 yards and nine TDs this fall. Senior WB/DB Andrew Barber has rushed for 335 yards and five TDs the past two weeks. Barber paces the Cobras this year on both sides with 64 carries for 792 yards (12.4 ypc) and 14 TDs and 93 tackles. Senior Jordan Stone leads Fountain Lake with 35 catches for 832 yards (23.8 ypc) and nine TDs.
West Fork at PARIS (13): West Fork has lost three of its past four games. Junior RB Wyatt Montgomery has rushed for more than 800 yards this season. Senior LB Craig Brannan leads on defense. Paris features 17 seniors and surrenders 10 points weekly. Senior LB Ryan Spencer paces the Eagles this year with more than 110 tackles. Seniors Casey Dishongh (three TDs in last week's 26-14 win over Lamar), Justin Estala (13 yards per carry) and Kyeran Hurley (190 yards and two TDs in a 19-3 win over Danville two weeks ago) all run the ball effectively. Senior RB/LB Payton McClure (injured ankle vs. Atkins) has not played the past two weeks. Four Class 3A teams have beaten Paris over the past three years (Mansfield, Jessieville, Charleston and Barton).
Piggott at BARTON (21): Piggott (1-9 in 2011) in the playoffs for the first time since 2007. The senior-laden Mohawks have won two of their past three games, scoring 30 ppg. Barton has won 28 games since coach Van Paschal took over in 2010. Senior WB Kedrick Jackson and freshman WB Cameron Anderson have both rushed for more than 1,000 yards this fall. Junior tackle Jarrod Chandler and junior cornerback Justice Cole lead on defense.
