HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 6 Dollarway at No. 7 Ozark

A month ago Dollarway seemed poised to claim the 8-4A's No. 2 seed and a sweet playoff draw. But they forfeited three conference victories and were forced to win their final three games just to make the playoffs. The Cardinals slipped past Star City 36-29 a week ago after rallying with a late touchdown. "The kids have bonded together and made us strong," says Dollarway coach Cortez Lee. "Our guys told me to calm down (when informed of the forfeits), that they would take care of business."

The Cardinals punish opponents with an offensive line that averages 285 pounds. Junior Jeremiah Young has rushed for more than 1,300 yards in just six games this fall (missed three with a foot injury). Junior QB Xavier Long, who threw the game-winning 43-yard TD pass with 12 seconds left last week, has thrown 16 TD passes and ran for six scores this fall. Sophomore Joshua Liddell backs up at tailback, rushing for almost 700 yards and eight TDs, and he's intercepted six passes at free safety. "They are the most athletic and most talented team we've faced," says Ozark coach Jeremie Burns says. "We have to adjust to their speed."

Ozark captured its first conference title since 2007 this fall after winning three 1-4A games by eight points or less. Ozark senior Asher Ree has rushed for 1,565 yards and 18 TDs this year. Junior Toby Richard has 975 yards receiving, while Toby Grisham has caught the ball well in recent weeks, Burns says. Senior Colton Jackson, who committed to Arkansas State, dominates at left tackle and defensively at tackle and end.

WEEK 11 PREDICTIONS (favored team in ALL CAPS followed by point spread)
TOP HALF OF THE BRACKET
McGehee has first-round bye.
Lonoke at CLARKSVILLE (2): This is a rematch from 2009 when Lonoke won 48-21 on its way to the state title game. The Jackrabbits missed the playoffs last year. Clarksville returns to the playoffs for the sixth straight season, but the Panthers haven't won in the postseason since beating Fordyce 56-36 in 2008. Panther QB Andre Redman threw four TDs in last week's 30-point win over Waldron.
Shiloh Christian at HEBER SPRINGS (10): A rematch of the season-opener, which Heber Springs won 36-17. Three different Saints have started at QB this season, including Casey Paraday, who threw for 483 yards and two scores in last week's 58-37 setback at Farmington. Heber Springs senior QB Michael Ludwig and running back Markeyvus Mays combined for 19 carries, 253 yards and five TDs in last week's 41-22 win at Cave City, which gave the Panthers their first conference title in 32 years.
Dumas at FARMINGTON (3): Farmington has won four of its past five games. The Cardinals are a different team since shifting Deon Clay to quarterback. The senior completed nine of 16 passes for 176 yards and rushed for 56 yards in last week's 21-point win over Shiloh Christian. Dumas coach Mark Courtney has taken the Bobcats to the playoffs six straight seasons. The Bobcats shut out Hamburg 36-0 a week ago. Dumas averages just 16 points per game.

NASHVILLE (2) at Highland: The fastest team in Highland history won its first conference title since 2007, with junior QB Sterling Stowers (4.6 speed) throwing for almost 1,500 yards and rushing for 988 yards. Junior Jordan Brewer (4.6 speed) has rushed for 975 yards this year, while classmate Ethan Hoppe (three first-half TD catches at Pocahontas) makes plays on the edge. Nashville lost five consecutive games early in the season, but rallied with wins in three of its final four games, including last week's 47-point blowout over Bauxite.
De Queen at BOONEVILLE (8): This is the third playoff meeting between these teams. Booneville won 41-0 in the 2000 quarterfinals and De Queen won 35-8 in the 1998 semifinals. Booneville senior fullback Anthony Napier ran for 220 yards and six TDs in last week's 43-32 win over Mena. De Queen downed Mena 31-26 in Week 1.
Gosnell at MALVERN (10): Malvern's physical defense allows 16 points per game. Junior QB Austin Warford threw a pair of TD passes in last week's 21-point victory at De Queen. Gosnell tied for second in the 3-4A this year, averaging 36 points a game.
Mena at PRAIRIE GROVE (6): Prairie Grove returns to the playoffs after a one-year absence. The Tigers finished second in the 1-4A this fall after losing at Gravette by 10 points last week. Mena averages 45 points a game over the past three weeks since junior QB Austin Warren returned from an injury.

BOTTOM HALF OF THE BRACKET
Pulaski Academy has first-round bye.
Dardanelle at OSCEOLA (4): Dardanelle squeezed into the playoffs with last week's 24-17 win at Dover. Sand Lizard senior Randy Velasquez has made 13 field goals this fall. Osceola averages 29 points per game. Junior running back Korliss Marshall (more than 1,100 yards) fuels Osecola's attack.
Newport at POTTSVILLE (14): Newport makes its 25th straight playoff appearance after stumping Southside Batesville 34-12 a week ago. Pottsville won its first conference title in school history this year, blasting league opponents by an average of 43-16. Junior running back Quwillen Porter has rushed for 24 TDs this year, while sophomore QB Michael Perry has rushed for more than 1,500 yards.
MAUMELLE (1) at Clinton: Maumelle senior QB/running back Eric Parks has rushed for more than 1,200 yards this year, including 628 yards and 10 TDs the past three weeks. "He's 90 percent of their offense," Clinton coach Chris Dufrene said. "You've got to gang tackle him." Maumelle's defense has scored six TDs this season. Clinton senior QB Park Parish has rushed for almost 700 yards, passed for more than 1,000 yards and accounted for 20 TDs this fall.

Dollarway at OZARK (1): Hootens.com Game of the Week.
Star City at STUTTGART (7): Stuttgart senior Keith Humbert has rushed for more than 1,600 yards and 19 TDs this fall. Playing linebacker, Humbert paces a defense that gives up 14 points per game. Star City finished third in the 8-4A this year and advanced to the semifinals a year ago. The Bulldogs give up 17 points per game.
Valley View at WARREN (10): Warren sophomore QB Drake Jones threw five TD passes in last week's 27-point win over Lake Village. Jones, sophomore Von Eric Gonder and freshman Darvion Brown spark Warren's offense that averages 26 points a game.
