5A South (3) Camden Fairview (7-3) at 5A EAST (2) HARDING ACADEMY (7-3): These teams have never played. Harding Academy has won 4 state championships over the past 5 seasons while bumping from Class 3A to Class 5A during that span. The Wildcats have won 6 consecutive games after starting the season 2-3, including 42-21 over Brookland last week. Senior QB Owen Miller completed 20 of 25 passes for 292 yards and 5 touchdowns, and he ran for another TD. Endy McGalliard (6-93 receiving, 2 TDs) and Joseph Myles (6-82 receiving, TD) were Miller's top targets. Trenton Hall and Eli Baker each added TD catches. Junior OL/DE Kaynan Harris played well up front.
Camden Fairview finished as the 5A South No. 3 seed after losing to LR Parkview 38-23 a week ago. The Cardinals were up 15-10 in the second half, the first Class 5A team to lead LR Parkview in the second half in more than 2 years. Senior quarterback Darrell “Juney” Atkins, Jr. completed 18 of 33 passes, 263 yards and 2 TDs, with senior Trent Haygood catching 9 passes for 183 yards and 1 TD. Seniors LB Maliq Musa-Dennis (8 tackles, 1 sack, 1 recovered fumble) and David Duhart (7 tackles, 2 sacks) led the defense. “Camden Fairview has elite speed and gets the ball to a lot of different players,” Harding Academy Coach Neil Evans says.

5A South (4) Arkansas High (3-7) at 5A EAST (1) VALLEY VIEW (10-0): Arkansas High gets into the playoffs after winning its final 3 games, including 43-0 last week over De Queen, and makes the 267-mile trek from Texarkana to Jonesboro. Arkansas High QB William Dunbar (11-13-221-3 TD passing; 1 TD rushing), RB Tony Noble (8-87-1 rushing; 1 passing TD), WR Deandre Burnell (4-106-2) and Malek Dangerfield (4-51-1) played well in the first half against De Queen. Valley View finished its 10-0 season with a 35-7 win at Batesville (its 14th straight conference victory). WR Andrew Jones returned the second-half kickoff for a TD, then QB Drew Gartman ran for 2 second-half TDs. Sophomore Carter Wallace ran 16 times for 161 yards and 1 TD, while safety Rickey Moffett made 6 tackles and 1 interception.
5A Central (3) Searcy (7-3) at 5A WEST (2) MORRILTON (8-2): These are former conference rivals, with Searcy winning 8 of the past 11 in the series. Searcy shut out Beebe in the second half last week to secure the No. 3 playoff seed with a 31-22 victory. Searcy's offensive line played well in the second half. Morrilton captured the No. 2 playoff seed with last week's 45-6 win at Clarksville. The Devil Dogs get solid play from QB Maddox Berry and WRs Dante Cox, Andrew Rhoden and Champ McNabb. “They can really run it, they ran the ball well against Beebe,” Morrilton Coach Cody McNabb says.
5A East (4) Wynne (6-4) at 5A SOUTH (1) LR PARKVIEW (9-1): This is a rematch from the 2022 quarterfinals, which LR Parkview won 42-0 on its way to its first state title. The Patriots haven't lost to a Class 5A team in 2 seasons, but they trailed at Camden Fairview 15-10 in the second half last week before rallying to win 38-23. The Patriots allowed 69 yards rushing. Wynne QB Siler Holbrook completed 2 of 3 passes for 61 yards and ran 8 times for 118 yards in last week's 35-7 loss at Nettleton.
5A WEST (3) GREENBRIER (7-3) at 5A Central (2) Maumelle (7-3): Maumelle Coach Brian Maupin played for Greenbrier Coach Randy Tribble when Tribble was at Harding University (1981-2007). And Tribble's son, Luke, roomed with Maupin at Harding. Maumelle lost the league title to Joe T. Robinson last week 37-15. Josiah Warrior-Benson caught a 65-yard TD pass, CB Antonio McFadden played his best game of the season locking down receivers and OL/DL Kayden Sherman played well up front. Maumelle has given up 500 yards rushing this season and only allowed 1 100-yard rusher, while Greenbrier relies on junior Enoch Assan (233 carries, 1,927 yards, 22 rushing TDs this year). The Panthers tallied 293 yards (192 rushing, 101 passing) in last week's 21-0 win at Vilonia. Sophomore Trendon Moseley caught 4 passes, 2 of them for TDs.

5A West (4) Vilonia (7-3) at 5A CENTRAL (1) JOE T. ROBINSON (9-1): Vilonia was shut out for the first time this season in last week's 21-0 loss to Greenbrier. The Eagles turned the ball over once vs. Greenbrier and gave up 293 yards. Joe T. Robinson wrapped up the 5A Central title top playoff seed with last week's 37-15 victory at Maumelle. Senator QB Tyson Braddon threw 2 first-half TD passes to Malachi Muhammad. Kevin Williams caught 2 TDs and ran for another as Robinson built a 37-0 advantage in the third quarter.
5A East (3) Nettleton (7-3) at 5A SOUTH (2) HS LAKESIDE (8-2): Nettleton pushed 5A East champion Valley View 2 weeks ago before losing 28-20, and last week Nettleton whipped Wynne 35-7. Nettleton led 14-7 in the third quarter before turning to senior RB Cam Austin (26-159 rushing, 2 TDs). Junior Xavier Harrell, Nettleton's leading rusher this season, logged 3 carries, 73 yards and 1 TD in the first half before getting injured. QB Maddox Hampton threw 2 TD passes, including a 72-yarder to junior Jorden Simmons. HS Lakeside finished as the South No. 2 seed after last week's 42-0 win over Hot Springs. Senior workhorse Grady Ohman (27-257-1 rushing) and junior QB Wally Wolcott (6-11 passing, 160 yards, 3 TDs) led the offense, while junior LB Luke Wrublesky made 16 tackles.
5A Central (4) Beebe (6-4) at 5A West (1) FARMINGTON (9-1): Beebe earned their way into the playoffs for the first time in 9 years despite losing at Searcy 31-22 a week ago. The Badgers too part in the 2020 playoffs (during Covid-19) when all teams were allowed in. WR/DB DeMarco Moore (8 receptions; 5 tackles) led the Badgers on both sides of the ball. Farmington captured consecutive league titles for the first time since 1989-1990 with last week's hard-fought 27-15 win at Alma. Junior QB Ayden Lester passed for 191 yards and 2 TDs. Russell Hodge, who has become more of an offensive focal point the past 3 weeks, caught an 18-yard TD pass and ran for 1 TD.
