Wynne WR/DB Deshawn Jordan - FCB Scholar Athlete of the Week
LITTLE ROCK - Wynne senior cornerback Keshawn Jordan, who helped the Yellowjackets win their fifth conference title in six seasons this fall, is the First Community Bank Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Jordan (27 ACT and 4.0 GPA) starts at cornerback for the Delta Swarm and has made 30 tackles, including thee stops for losses, and a game-winning interception in the endzone this season.
More than 6,000 boys play high school football in the state. Jordan, who also works nights and weekends at Sonic, is one of only 13 selected for the prestigious award presented by First Community.
Bank representative David Daniel surprised Jordan before a recent Wynne practice with the announcement. First Community presented the award earlier this season to standout students at Mountain Home, West Memphis, Batesville, Pocahontas, Vilonia, Rivercrest, Harding Academy (Searcy), Valley View, Harrison and Cabot.
