Izard County (6-4) at RECTOR (8-0): Izard County travels to Rector Friday to determine who will be representing the 2A North at War Memorial Stadium next week. QB Wyatt Buchannon established himself as one of 8-Man's top passers and runners during the Cougars' Round 1 win against Mountain Pine. ICC raced out to a 44-30 halftime lead en route to a 64-44. victory. Rector, which has allowed 12 points in the past month, forced 3 turnovers en route to defeating ICC 56-16 when the teams met 7 weeks ago. Can Rector Sr LB Jacob Mooneyham and the defense contain Buchannon?
Spring Hill (8-3) at STRONG (9-0): Strong edged Spring Hill 18-14 when the teams met 4 weeks ago, Oct. 20. Greg Smith’s Spring Hill Bears used 269 rushing yards to beat Brinkley 32-22 last week in the opening round. TJ Tipton rushed for 203 yards and junior QB Jaxon Smith completed 6 passes for 80 yards and a TD out of the Bears' option attack. Strong rolled up 417 offensive yards in a 50-14 victory over Augusta last year. Xavier, Germyen, and Kaiden McHenry led the offense.
