HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 5 Camden Harmony Grove at No. 1 Rivercrest
Both teams feature salty defenses, as well as big-time playmakers on offense. The winner plays either Charleston or Harrisburg in the quarterfinals.

Harmony Grove, which allows 12 points per game, must win the turnover-margin and use its size to wear down the Colts. The Hornets boast one of the bigger fronts in Class 3A, including athletic seniors James Sherman (6-3, 295), Jonathan Butler (6-0, 310) and Glenn Nash (6-0, 320). Coach Tony Chambers said Sherman makes tackles most don't expect from defensive ends. "He'll run down the sweep or overtake a lead blocker to make a tackle on a power run." Senior running back Ticorian Berry has rushed for more than 1,300 yards, while junior quarterback Dalton McKelvin has accounted for almost 1,500 yards this season.

Rivercrest's first-team defense gives up 11 points per game, shutting out five opponents this fall. The Colts, led by junior safety Robert Cooney's five interceptions and three fumble recoveries, create four turnovers weekly. Senior safety Michael Wright leads with 88 tackles, while senior linebackers Trevor Gregory (17 tackles for loss) and Earl Byrd (10 QB hurries, 8.5 sacks) create havoc behind the line of scrimmage. Senior QB Demoine Brown has accounted for 1,419 yards and 20 touchdowns, while senior playmaker Terrence Banks (1,357 all-purpose yards and 16 TDs) gains 20 yards per touch. "They're by far the fastest team we've seen all year," Chambers said. "We'll have to play mistake-free football, limit big plays and score every time we touch it."

Sophomore Autry Allen returned two punts for TDs, while senior Robert Marshall caught a 60-yard TD pass and returned an interception 75 yards for another score. Comparing common opponents - Earle won at Hoxie 53-20 in Week 6, scoring the game's final 28 points.
