No. 6 Greenbrier at No. 2 Watson Chapel
Both teams advanced to the semifinals last season. Greenbrier finished second in the 5A West this fall after losing two of its final four regular season games. The Panthers rely on a disciplined defense that gives up 16 points per game. Senior tackle Matt Cain leads the Panthers up front, while linebackers Colt Talley, Trent Virden and Blake Henderson play aggressively. "They do a lot of things defensively that are rarely brought to the table on the high school level," said Watson Chapel coach George Shelton. "They do some unique things."

Greenbrier junior quarterback Neal Burcham has passed for 2,763 yards and 26 touchdowns this season, while senior Hunter Winston has rushed for 1,179 yards and 17 TDs, and has 613 yards receiving and 10 scores. "Winston is big and powerful," said Watson Chapel coach George Shelton. "He runs well off tackle. And, Burcham is more elusive than he looks."

Watson Chapel has won eight straight games, including 36-23 over Hot Springs Lakeside a week ago. Wildcat senior QB Kyle Coleman has generated more than 1,600 yards offense this season. Coleman connected with Sam Bass for a school-record 99-yard TD pass and ran 75 yards for a score against HS Lakeside. Senior running back Aaron Lagrone has rushed for more than 1,100 yards this year. Senior Mitch Lane leads the Wildcats in receiving yards and doubles as a ball-hawking safety. Sophomore Marquis Handley has emerged to give depth in the backfield. Handley ran 4 yards for a TD last week. "They'll line up in the Wishbone and pound you," said Greenbrier coach Randy Tribble. "Then, they'll spread the field and you've got to be able to adjust your defense quickly, or they'll make a big play."

Hooten's Arkansas Football airs 11 a.m. Saturday on Fox 16 in Little Rock and KFSM TV 5 in Fort Smith/Fayetteville. Games scheduled this week include Greenbrier at Watson Chapel, Monticello at Batesville, and Mills at Greenwood.

Greenbrier at WATSON CHAPEL (2): Hootens.com Game of the Week.
Alma at CAMDEN FAIRVIEW (10): Alma advances to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 2005. Senior Isaac McCoy has rushed for 1,111 yards and 21 TDs this year. McCoy returned a kickoff 68 yards for a critical TD in last week's 20-point win at Beebe. Camden Fairview's Derek Keaton scored six TDs (with another negated by penalty) while playing just three quarters during last week's 36-point win over White Hall.

BOTTOM HALF OF THE BRACKET
Monticello at BATESVILLE (11): Defending state champion Monticello rallied from a 14-point first quarter deficit at Arkadelphia last week, winning by eight points. Senior running back Brian Handley has rushed for 1,417 yards and 20 TDs in just 10 games this fall. Undefeated Batesville beat Vilonia by 23 points last week. Pioneer sophomore running back Jordan Childress has rushed for 1,546 yards and 16 TDs this year. Batesville gives up just 10 points per game. Senior linebacker Justin Smithee has racked up 128 tackles, while Matthew Showalter has intercepted seven passes.
Mills at GREENWOOD (17): Mills advances to the second round of the playoffs for the first time since 1989 (also the same year it last won 10 games) after beating Magnolia by 16 points a week ago. Comet senior QB Chris Hampton rushed for 113 yards and a TD and passed for 103 yards and two scores against Magnolia, while the defense yielded just 132 yards. Greenwood is in the second round of the playoffs for the seventh straight season. Bulldog junior running back Justin Sunde has rushed for 1,213 yards and 15 TDs this fall, while senior QB Stephen Hogan has rushed for 500 yards, 13 TDs and passed for 2,338 yards and 20 scores.
