(TOP OF THE BRACKET)
3-4A (1) No. 5 Rivercrest (10-2)
at 7-4A (1) No. 4 ARKADELPHIA (7-3):

This is a rematch of last year's quarterfinal game won by Arkadelphia 48-13. Arkadelphia has ripped off 7 consecutive victories this season, including last week 22-7 vs. Mayflower. The Badgers held Mayflower scoreless for the final 3 quarters. Senior QB Cade McBride completed 15 of 21 passes for 125 yards and 1 touchdown.
Rivercrest has won 9 consecutive games, and last week the Colts jumped on Gravette 26-0 in the first quarter, easing to a 40-0 win. Junior QB Cavonta Washington (17-21-183-2 passing), senior Koby Turner (14-124-3 rushing) and senior Michael Rainer (4-73-1 receiving) led the onslaught. Sophomore Tekylun Sanders racked up 9 tackles, while the Colts intercepted 4 passes (2 by sophomore Jayden Young, 1 each for senior LB Marcus Slayton and Rainer).

1-4A (2) No. 6 Ozark (10-2) at 8-4A (1) No. 2 WARREN (12-0): This is the fourth playoff meeting between these teams (previous 3 were in the second round). Warren whipped Ozark 49-14 in 2017 and Ozark beat the Lumberjacks 50-18 in 2000 and 41-17 in 2019. Ozark junior Koby Wilbanks ran for 244 yards and 4 TDs and intercepted 2 passes in last week's 49-14 win over Lincoln. RBs Gavin Gilbreth (120 yards) and Brayden Miner (80 yards, 2 TDs) contributed to a Hillbillies attack that ran for 444 yards. Gilbreth also returned an interception 35 yards for a TD. Undefeated Warren used Tramond Miller's 73-yard kickoff return for a TD to push past Bauxite 28-21 last week. Junior WR Neon'dre Thomas (6-86-1) hauled in a pass to set up senior RB Treylon Jackson (15-91-1), who broke a tackle in the backfield and sprinted 23 yards for the winning TD with 7 minutes left. Thomas intercepted a pass to end Bauxite's comeback attempt.

BOTTOM OF THE BRACKET

1-4A (1) No. 3 ELKINS (12-0) at 4-4A (1) No. 7 Central Arkansas Christian (9-2): A matchup featuring 2 of the state's more prolific offenses. Elkins (55.0 points per game) has put up at least 60 points in 4 games and scored a season-low 38 in a shutout victory over fellow quarterfinalist Ozark in Week 8. Senior QB Dizzy Dean (17-25-3 passing; 5-56 rushing) and senior RB Da'Shawn Chairs (16-167-3 rushing; 2-8-1 receiving) dominated in the first half of last week's 56-6 victory over Monticello. CAC (49.0 ppg) broke the 60-point barrier once and put up 59 points in last week's 9-point twin over Nashville. Junior QB Grayson Wilson (15-26-304-4) hit timely passes, and the Mustangs ran for 327 yards and 5 TDs.

7-4A (4) No. 8 Ashdown (7-4) at 2-4A (1) No. 1 HARDING ACADEMY (12-0): Top-ranked Harding Academy made halftime defensive adjustments and beat defending champion Malvern 58-34 a week ago. Junior QB Owen Miller kept plays alive with his running ability (16-124 rushing) and diced the Leopards secondary (16-18-237 passing). Miller also worked at cornerback, breaking up 2 passes. Isaac Baker (25 yards) and Kyler Hoover (55 yards) caught TD passes, while Brody Meyers returned an interception for a TD. Harding Academy has played in 4 consecutive state title games, while Ashdown advances to the quarterfinals for the first time since 2017. Ashdown trailed DeWitt 21-0 in the first half last week but rallied for a 30-28 victory.
