STATE CHAMPIONSHIP RECAP
Greenwood earned its eighth state title in school history (all since 2000) with a 52-14 rout of Pine Bluff. Senior quarterback, Farm Bureau Awards 7A/6A Offensive Player of the Year finalist and University of Arkansas commit Connor Noland earned title game MVP honors after after completing 20 of 27 passes for 304 yards and four touchdowns. Senior running back Kenny Wood ran for 103 yards and two TDs and junior receiver Peyton Holt snatched 14 passes for 197 yards and two scores. Senior defensive lineman and Farm Bureau Awards 7A/6A Defensive Player of the Year finalist Jon Womack won the Brandon Burlsworth award as the game's best defender. Greenwood limited Pine Bluff to 162 yards.
