TITLE GAME RECAP
Little Rock Parkview captured its second consecutive state championship on Saturday, beating Shiloh Christian 55-12. It was Parkview's first unbeaten season since going 6-0-2 and winning the AAAAA conference title in 1978 (there was one conference in state's largest classification and no playoffs). The Patriots racked up 444 yards in 43 plays, and the defense intercepted 4 passes. Senior quarterback Eric McGehee (10-14-270-4 TDs passing; 6-49-1 TD rushing) was tabbed game MVP, and Monterrio 'Money' Elston was his top target (6-142-2 TDs receiving; 5-39 rushing). Junior Cameron Settles, who at times this season was the primary running back, had 7 carries for 32 yards but made his presence felt on defense with 3 tackles and 2 interceptions.
