CHAMPIONSHIP GAME RECAP
Pulaski Academy's state title game epitomized coach Kevin Kelley's philosophy. The Bruins recovered four onside kicks and applied the 35-point sportsmanship rule on the first play of the second half of the title game, downing Little Rock Christian 64-27. It was Pulaski Academy's second straight title and the ninth since Kelley took over in 2003. Kelley's nine wins are a state record.
Junior running back Joe Himon was named title game MVP after running for 74 yards and three touchdowns and catching six passes for 129 yards and a TD. Bruins quarterbacks Nolen Bruffett and Charlie Fiser split snaps, combining for 451 yards and five TDs.
