Ball’s three touchdowns lead Jacksonville past Lake Hamilton, 40–20

Mason Ball rushed for 188 yards and three touchdowns as Jacksonville defeated Lake Hamilton 40–20 Friday in Pearcy, improving to 3–0.

The Titans led 7–6 after one quarter and 13–12 at halftime before scoring 14 unanswered points in the third. Jacksonville added 13 points in the fourth, while Lake Hamilton scored eight. The Titans outscored the Wolves 27–8 after halftime.

Ball carried 23 times and averaged 8.2 yards per attempt, with a longest run of 26 yards. Brett Wynne supplied Jacksonville’s other rushing touchdown, finishing with 12 yards on two carries.

Kingston Burnett threw two touchdown passes, one to Jakobe Boone and one to Maziah Davis. Burnett completed 17 of 23 attempts for 242 yards. Jacksonville’s defense intercepted two passes, while Burnett finished without an interception. Jacksonville’s six touchdowns consisted of four rushing scores and two passing scores.

Jaiden Hicks led the Titans with five receptions for 109 yards, including a 47-yard catch. Boone caught five passes for 76 yards and a touchdown. Davis finished with six receptions for 59 yards and a touchdown.

Lake Hamilton’s JJ Johnson scored on a run and a reception. He caught six passes for 105 yards, including a 45-yard gain, and rushed four times for 55 yards. Johnson also caught the Wolves’ successful two-point conversion. He accounted for 14 of Lake Hamilton’s 20 points.

Jace Bohannan completed 19 of 38 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown. He added 40 rushing yards on six attempts. Braxden Schmidt led Lake Hamilton’s rushing attack with 68 yards on seven carries, including a 31-yard run. Blaine Sears added a rushing touchdown.

DJ Wilson caught three passes for 70 yards, while Brayden Goodale finished with six receptions for 52 yards. Schmidt averaged 9.7 yards per carry, and Wilson’s 70 receiving yards included a completion that gained 33 yards.
