BEEBE — Braylyn Brown caught three touchdown passes and Dallas Bledsoe ran for two scores as Robinson clinched the 5A-Central championship with a 56-3 victory over Beebe on Friday, Oct. 30.
The Senators (9-0, 6-0) secured the league’s No. 1 playoff seed for the second consecutive season with the win over Beebe (1-8, 1-5).
Robinson established control immediately. Matthew Moka recovered a fumble on Beebe’s opening possession, and Bledsoe finished the ensuing drive with a 3-yard touchdown run. On Robinson’s next possession, a holding penalty erased a long Bledsoe scoring run, but the Senators kept moving. Reece Simpson completed a pass to Aaron Freeman, and Bledsoe eventually cut through the defense for his second touchdown and a 14-0 first-quarter lead.
Beebe recovered a punt that touched a Robinson player, but the extra possession produced no points. Demetrius Battle covered the intended receiver on an incomplete fourth-down pass early in the second quarter. Robinson answered immediately: Simpson faked a handoff and found Brown on a screen, and Brown sprinted down the sideline untouched.
Simpson next stepped up in the pocket and found Jaiden Todd uncovered for a touchdown that pushed the lead to 28-0. Rae Parsons then recovered a fumbled lateral. A block-in-the-back penalty erased his return touchdown but left Robinson in possession. Brown scored on a jet-sweep pass, and Mark Tait’s fifth successful extra point made it 35-0.
Brown added his third touchdown reception before halftime, catching Simpson’s pass with a blocker in front and racing away. The extra point missed, leaving Robinson ahead 41-0 with 1:49 remaining in the half. Simpson accounted for all four of the Senators’ first-half touchdown passes.
Robinson’s reserves continued the scoring after the break. Parsons returned the second-half kickoff inside Beebe’s 30, and freshman Brendan “Bud” Galloway took a handoff through the left side for a touchdown on his first carry of the night. Bhavya Patel added the extra point.
Freshman Curtis Tippit Jr. recorded a third-down sack near the end of the third quarter before Jace Ruiz kicked Beebe’s field goal. Tippit added a fourth-down touchdown reception from Cooper Mosely in the fourth quarter, then caught Mosely’s two-point pass to complete the scoring.
