No. 1 Harding Academy at No. 5 Barton
Harding Academy travels to Barton for the first time since a 38-14 win Week 6, 2010. The Wildcats chase their fifth straight league title, riding a 37-game conference win streak. Harding returned seven starters from last year's state championship defense coming into this year. The Wildcats are holding their opponents to 201 yards and 11 points per game (281 yards and 17 ppg in 2012). Senior linebacker and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Trey Davis leads Harding this fall with 47 tackles. Senior LB Rayel Jackson and junior LB Nate Dickson (12 tackles for loss) have racked up 28 and 29 stops, respectively. Junior noseguard Mills Bryant (5-11, 240) and senior end Glover Helpenstill (6-3, 225) have combined for 60 tackles (20 for loss). The Wildcats are averaging 377 yards and 44 points weekly the past five weeks since sophomore Alex Francis took over at quarterback. Francis has completed 99 of 127 passes (78 percent) for 1,468 yards and 18 touchdowns with one interception. Four Wildcats have at least 20 catches this year, including Davis who leads Harding with 26 receptions for 298 yards and six TDs. Seniors Carter Burks (414 yards, five TDs), Kohl Blickenstaff (386 yards, five TDs) and Jake Mackey (300 yards, three TDs) spread the field at receiver. Senior running back Trevor Smith has 110 carries for 499 yards and 10 TDs.
Barton has won 29 games over the past three years, reaching the state championship game in 2011. Four starters from that 2011 team are now seniors, including dual-threat option QB Laquarius Hall. Hall, who has generated 950 yards and 18 TDs this year, hurt his ankle two weeks ago in a 25-19 loss at Episcopal. Explosive sophomore slotback Cameron Anderson (952 yards, nine TDs) also tweaked his ankle at Episcopal. Last week at Bald Knob, senior center Rhodes Carter dislocated his finger. Hall, Anderson and Carter should play this week. Talented senior and Arkansas State commit Jarrod Chandler (6-2, 210) filled in for Anderson in last week's 37-14 win at Bald Knob, racing 99 yards for a TD. Chandler has recorded 88 tackles this season on the defensive line. Senior receiver/safety Justice Cole leads Barton with 19 catches for 419 yards and seven TDs. Cole intercepted three passes last week at Bald Knob, setting a new state record with 28 career interceptions. Junior fullback Quinton Simmons has 66 carries for 696 yards and five TDs. Senior kicker Justin Wilson kicked two field goals last week and booted a 42-yarder a month ago in a 42-0 win over Perryville. The Bears can earn a share of the league title and could grab the No. 1 playoff seed (depending on the points tiebreaker). A loss likely sends the Bears to Lamar in the first round as the No. 3 seed. Barton last won a league title in 2003.

GREEN FOREST (4) at Elkins: Green Forest looking to sweep the 1-3A for the first time since 2004. The Tigers wrapped up the league title and No. 1 playoff seed with last week's 22-13 win over West Fork. Elkins battling for a higher playoff seed after losing to West Fork and Greenland by a combined six points the past two weeks.
WEST FORK (1) at Greenland: The winner likely grabs the No. 3 playoff seed and a home playoff game, while the loser travels to south Arkansas in the first round as the No. 4 seed. Marshall at YELLVILLE-SUMMIT (28): Both teams looking for their first league victory. Watch highlights of Yellville-Summit's Week 2 loss to Salem here.
Mountain View at MELBOURNE (8): Mountain View can not make the playoffs. Melbourne can finish as high as the No. 2 playoff seed. A loss and Elkins win gives the Bearkatz the No. 4 seed.

MAYFLOWER (28) at Rose Bud (Thurs.): Mayflower grabs the No. 4 playoff seed, while Rose Bud finishes last in the conference. Mayflower travels to south Arkansas in the first round of the playoffs. Riverview at EPISCOPAL (21): Episcopal likely finishes as the No. 2 playoff seed. A Barton win by seven or more points gives the Wildcats the No. 3 seed. Riverview travels to 1-3A champion Green Forest in the first round of the playoffs as the No. 5 seed. RIVERCREST (2) at Osceola (Thurs.): Playoff seeding on the line. A Rivercrest win gives it the No. 2 seed and Osceola the No. 4. The Colts trailed Earle last week 20-13 in the fourth quarter. Sophomore DT Braxton Brown recorded a safety and junior QB Marquez Chew threw a 10-yard TD pass to senior Kani Turner to win the game. Osceola's coming off a 55-0 win at Manila. EARLE (32) at Manila: Earle wraps up the No. 5 playoff seed, traveling to Fountain Lake in the first round.
Harrisburg at HOXIE (27) (Thurs.): Harrisburg misses the playoffs for the second straight season. Hoxie's back home and stays there through the playoff quarterfinals. Watch highlights of Hoxie's Week 5 win over Rivercrest here.
CORNING (6) at Piggott (Thurs.): Corning looking to host a first round playoff game as the No. 3 seed. The Bobcats must win by at least 11 points and Osceola must beat Rivercrest by no more than seven points to finish as the No. 2 seed.

4-3A
Danville at ATKINS (6): Danville looking for its first league victory. The Little Johns pushed Paris last week in a 13-12 loss. Atkins' playoff seed likely to be decided by the points tiebreaker.
Cedarville at LAVACA (1): Cedarville can not make the playoffs. Lavaca's playoff seed likely to be decided by the points tiebreaker.
Mansfield at CHARLESTON (28): Charleston has won its six league games by an average of 30 points. Charleston will play at home in the first two rounds of the playoffs. Senior receiver and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Chance Shelby has 42 catches for 634 yards and 11 TDs. Shelby has recorded 36 tackles and a team-high five interceptions at safety. Paris at LAMAR (22): The winner grabs the No. 2 playoff seed, likely playing host to Barton in the first round. Paris has won three of its past four games by a combined 16 points. The Eagles average 18 ppg in league play. Lamar senior RB Hunter Sanders has rushed for 1,137 yards and 10 TDs this season. Senior receiver/RB Ryan Jones (600 yards receiving) has scored 18 TDs. Horatio at B. HARMONY GROVE (14) (Thurs.): Horatio can not make the playoffs. Harmony Grove should finish as the No. 5 playoff seed but a loss and Bismarck win ends its season.
CENTERPOINT (12) at Bismarck (Thurs.): Centerpoint has won three of its past four games by a combined seven points. The Knights likely travel to West Fork or Melbourne in the first round of the playoffs as the No. 3 seed.
FOUNTAIN LAKE (24) at Jessieville (Thurs.): Fountain Lake grabs the No. 2 playoff seed, playing host to Earle in the first round. Junior Colby Spoon paces the Cobras this year on both sides with 81 carries for 675 yards and 10 TDs at fullback and 79 tackles at linebacker.
Two Rivers at GLEN ROSE (29) (Thurs.): Two Rivers likely finishes as the No. 4 playoff seed, traveling to northeast Arkansas in the first round. Glen Rose earns the No. 1 seed, giving it a first round bye and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

6-3A
Drew Central at C. HARMONY GROVE (28) (Thurs.): Harmony Grove has lost to Prescott, Smackover and Fordyce by a combined 80-6 the past three weeks. The Hornets likely travel to northeast Arkansas in the first round of the playoffs as the No. 5 seed.
SMACKOVER (34) at Genoa Central (Thurs.): Smackover lost to McGehee 20-14 last week but could still earn the league title and No. 1 playoff seed with a McGehee loss this week. As the No. 2 seed, the Buckaroos likely play host to Mayflower in the first round. Senior RB Fabian Sims leads Smackover in 2013 with 58 carries for 584 yards and six TDs.
Fordyce at MCGEHEE (4): Fordyce features a balanced offense averaging 308 yards and 32 points per game. Senior QB Javeaz Sledge has generated 1,039 yards and 14 TDs this year. Senior Larry Buckley paces the Redbugs in rushing (461 yards, five TDs) and receiving (29 catches, 301 yards). Senior receiver Gary Cross has caught 24 passes for 511 yards and six TDs. A Fordyce win and Prescott loss this week could give the Redbugs the No. 2 playoff seed. A loss likely sends Fordyce to Episcopal in the first round as the No. 4 seed. McGehee's chasing its third straight league title. Senior RB David Shepard ran 14 times for 65 yards and two TDs in last week's 20-14 win at Smackover. Sophomore Kaion Parker raced 53 yards for a score. The Owls held Smackover to a season-low 66 yards rushing. Smackover rushed for 182 yards three weeks ago in a 28-15 win over Fordyce in similar (sloppy) field conditions. PRESCOTT (16) at Fouke: Prescott likely finishes as the No. 3 playoff seed, traveling to Charleston in the second round. Junior RB Khaalid Stewart paces the Curley Wolves this season with 100 carries for 735 yards and 11 TDs. Fouke must win to make the playoffs as the No. 5 seed, likely giving Prescott the No. 4 seed and eliminating Harmony Grove from the playoffs.
