No. 3 Pulaski Robinson at No. 1 Shiloh Christian
This is the first meeting between these teams. Pulaski Robinson returns to the semifinals for the first time since making three straight appearances as a Class 5A member from 2002-2004. The Senators finished second in the rugged 7-4A this fall, losing at Ashdown 31-7 in Week 4 and Pulaski Academy 55-40 in Week 9. They've beaten Heber Springs, previously unbeaten Booneville and Mena in the playoffs by a combined 107-37. Senior running back Jaalen Watkins has rushed for more than 1,700 yards this year, while running back/receiver/kick returner Evain Hill has produced more than 1,500 all-purpose yards. No team has kicked to Hill since he returned a punt for a touchdown against Heber Springs. "They have so many weapons and are lighting up the scoreboard," said Shiloh Christian coach Josh Floyd. "They have good mix of power (Watkins) and speed (Hill)."

Shiloh Christian has envoked the 35-point sportsmanship rule on every Class 4A opponent this season. Saint senior quarterback Kiehl Frazier has committed to Auburn. Frazier has completed 128 of 204 passes (62.7 percent) for 2,453 yards and 36 TDs with just six interceptions this season. Frazier also has rushed for 1,069 yards and 17 scores. Senior Garrett Harper has rushed for 1,131 yards and 19 TDs, making the first time in school history that two players rushed for more than 1,000 yards in the same season. Senior four-year starter Zann Jones leads the Saint receivers with 57 catches for 1,221 yards and 21 TDs, while Harper has caught 33 passes for 590 yards and seven scores.

Floyd can't coach this week after getting ejected in the fourth quarter of last week's 38-point win over Nashville. The Saints, who allow just 174 yards per game, were penalized for 175 yards against the Scrappers. Senior linebacker Colt Thomas has racked up 112 tackles, while Jacob Coffman has made 104 stops, including 8.5 sacks. Senior tackle Sam Harvill, another four-year starter, has made 80 stops this season, including 13.5 sacks. "Nobody gives us a snowballs chance," said Pulaski Robinson coach Todd Eskola. "But we've been preaching to our kids since March that at some point in the playoffs we are going to have go to Springdale and play. All we are asking of our kids is that they have confidence in what we are doing and not be in awe or intimidated by playing at Shiloh."

Comparing scores: Shiloh Christian beat Nashville 48-10 a week ago, and Pulaski Robinson beat the Scrappers 30-28 in Week 8.

OTHER SEMIFINAL GAME
No. 4 Star City at No. 2 Pulaski Academy
Star City returns to Rector Field for the fourth time in the post-season. The Bulldogs have beaten Pulaski Academy two of the past three meetings (29-21 in overtime in 1999 and 28-21 in 2002). Star City's offensive coordinator Jett Furneaux was the quarterback when the Bulldogs beat Pulaski Academy in 1999.

Pulaski Academy has won 11 straight games since losing to Class 7A quarterfinalist Cabot 35-34 in Week 2. Dual-threat quarterback Fredi Knighten provides the Bruins with a run/pass threat. The junior has rushed for 699 yards and six touchdowns this fall, while senior Greyson Skokos has logged 138 carries for 1,068 yards and 11 scores. Senior Connor Pope relieves Skokos in some packages, gaining 423 yards (5.1 yards per carry). "Their running game is so much better than any other Pulaski Academy team that I've seen," said Star City coach Blair Brown. "They are impossible to simulate in practice, because they do so many things so well."

Knighten completes 63.2 percent of his passes for 3,777 yards and 46 TDs this season. Senior receivers Garrett Lamb and Zac Reyna each pose different problems for opponents. Lamb (54 catches, 1,007 yards and 16 TDs) runs exact routes and can catch deep passes, while Reyna (64 catches, 1,022 yards and 10 TDs) turns short catches into big plays. Sophomores Hunter Henry (41 catches, 696 yards and eight scores) and L.J. Wallace (40 catches, 655 yards and eight TDs) can make big plays when needed. The Bruins give up 22 points per game. Freshman linebacker Tyler Colquitt paces the Bruins with 136 tackles, while junior safety Aum'Arie Wallace has made 102 tackles and 17 pass break-ups.

Senior QB Ty Towers triggers Star City's Spread attack. Towers has rushed for 1,221 yards and 19 TDs and passed for 1,910 yards and 15 scores. Seniors Demetri Goins (674 yards) and Hosia Rochell (507 yards) provide threats running the ball, along with sophomore Rashad Davis (405 yards) and junior Drue Harvey (400 yards). Junior DaVondrick Shelton has caught 29 passes for 524 yards and six TDs. Linebackers Goins (114) and Rochell (more than 100 tackles) pace Star City's defense. "They have great speed and athletes," said Pulaski Academy coach Kevin Kelley. "Offensively, they run the ball effectively. Defensively, they bring a lot of pressure."
