HOOTENS.COM GAME OF THE WEEK
No. 10 Marion at No. 9 Searcy
Marion has beaten Searcy four years in a row by an average of 17 points, holding the Lions to 14 points or less three times. The Patriots feature a deep backfield full of playmakers, including junior running back Trey Franklin who ran 15 times for 200 yards and three touchdowns in last week's 49-37 win over Greene County Tech. Searcy's defense, led by senior all-state linebacker Mike Brown, will test Marion's budding offensive line. The Lions have allowed just 32 points in their first three games this year. Searcy ran the ball 43 times for 478 yards in last week's 37-7 win at Morrilton, with no turnovers (eight in its first two games).
