Class 7A No. 9 West Memphis at No. 6 Searcy
Both teams are tied for third in the East. West Memphis owns Searcy, but the Lions have gained ground under fourth-year coach Tim Harper. Searcy outscored West Memphis 24-0 in the second half of last year's 10-point loss.
West Memphis beat Marion and Cabot by a combined nine points the past two weeks, scoring twice in the fourth quarter of both games. Senior quarterback Kody Frasure threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to senior receiver DeAnfernee Davis in last week's 23-20 win over Cabot. Junior fullback Jarvis Cooper ran 11 yards for the game-winning score. "West Memphis is as good of a team as we've played," Harper says. "We're glad it's a football game and not a track meet. They're always fast and strong."
Searcy lost to North Little Rock (42-13) and Jonesboro (35-32) the past two weeks after starting 3-0 in league play. The Lions outscored Jonesboro 32-14 in the second half last Friday. Senior QB Antwan Arnold ran for 158 yards and four TDs and passed for a career-high 161 yards, including a 26-yard TD pass to senior Deion Byrd. Arnold has generated 1,558 yards and 18 TDs this year, rushing for 915 yards and 13 scores. "He's an unbelievable athlete on film," West Memphis coach Lanny Dauksch says. "Searcy's very good and they've gotten better every year with Tim."

LR PARKVIEW (1) at LR Catholic (Thurs.): Both teams lost to FS Northside 42-35 the past two weeks. Parkview has lost its five league games by an average of 23 points. Four of Catholic's seven losses have been by 14 points or less, including one-point setbacks to Bryant and Russellville.
Conway at GREENWOOD (15): Conway beat LR Parkview 35-6 last week after a 35-21 loss to FS Southside in Week 7. The Wampus Cats entered 2012 having won 12 of their past 14 league games (both losses were to former league member Bryant). Greenwood beat Southside 45-21 last week for its 32nd win in a row. Senior playmaker and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Drew Morgan ran 17 times for 210 yards and six TDs.
FS NORTHSIDE (28) at LR Hall: Northside senior QB Gray Stanton accounted for 460 yards and four TDs in last week's 42-35 win over LR Catholic. Hall scored a season-high 22 points in a 48-22 loss to Russellville.
Russellville at FS SOUTHSIDE (8): Russellville sophomore RB Kentrell Scott ran 10 times for 127 yards and two TDs in last week's 48-22 win over LR Hall. Junior QB Cody Jones and junior receiver Jalen Curtis are one of the more dangerous duos in Class 6A. Southside surrendered 21 unanswered points in a 45-21 loss to Greenwood.

7A/6A EAST
JONESBORO (4) at Cabot: Jonesboro survived Searcy 35-32 last week after leading 21-0 at halftime. Senior RB and Farm Bureau Awards watch list player Martin Stafford has rushed for 1,244 yards and 18 TDs this year. Cabot blew a 20-9 fourth-quarter lead in last week's 23-20 loss to West Memphis. The Panthers' four losses this season have been by an average of 10 points.
LR CENTRAL (7) at Marion: Central looking to improve to 4-5 on the year before it plays at North LR next week. The Tigers have beaten LR Catholic (1-7), Cabot (4-4) and Mountain Home (1-7). Marion generated 73 total yards (45 on its last possession) in last week's 52-0 loss to North LR.
WEST MEMPHIS (1) at Searcy: See Hootens.com Game of the Week.
NORTH LR (28) at Mountain Home: North LR has won its five league games by a combined 196-47. Meanwhile, Mountain Home has lost all of its by an average of 22 points.

7A/6A SOUTH
EL DORADO (10) at Benton: El Dorado gave up 325 total yards in last week's 21-6 loss to Pine Bluff. Benton fell to Lake Hamilton 42-35 after leading 24-22 at halftime.
Lake Hamilton at BRYANT (22): Lake Hamilton has lost two of its past three games. The Wolves edged Benton 42-35 last week. Junior Hunter Lipton ran 4 yards for the game-winning score with 2:01 left. Bryant has won three in a row since a 24-21 loss to Pine Bluff. The Hornets average 44 ppg in league play.
LR Fair at TEXARKANA (28): Both teams looking for their first league victory. Texarkana beat Fair 42-12 a year ago.
PINE BLUFF (29) at Sheridan: Pine Bluff, picked by league coaches to finish fourth in the spring, set for its first conference title since 2008. Sheridan senior QB Dylan Flores accounted for 250 yards and six TDs in last week's 49-24 win over LR Fair.

7A/6A WEST
Siloam Springs at ROGERS (8): Siloam Springs has lost its five league games by an average of 41 points. Rogers has scored one offensive TD over the past three weeks since senior QB Nick Wary injured his ankle in a 35-6 loss to Bentonville.
